"Hey, old man.." The amber eyed girl shot an odd smile toward the old man. He only wore an unimpressed expression, having had just watched her appear on top of the corner of his desk while he was writing in silence.

"You have definitely gotten better with the body flicker technique, child." He praises, pretending like he didn't hear the favor asking "hey old man" tone.

"So... I've got good news." She started, kicking her legs lightly shooting the old man a smile that he raised an eyebrow toward.

"Oh, is that right, Aiko?" She nodded with a bright smile pushed onto her lips for the old man who barely looked at her, pretending like he didn't know she was hinting at something.

"Well you don't have to worry about sweet talking whoever you were going to, I'm gonna stay in Konoha for a bit longer." He gave a dry chuckle as he continued his work, not even bothering to look at the girl.

"And what was your reasoning for such a bold move, child?"

He watched the girl pause and a rosy pink slipped onto her face. A large smirk appeared on the Hokage's at the sight of the flustered state of the girl. He watched the girl take a deep breath and found himself laughing as the girl rushed her words out.

"Igotaskedtothefestivalbyaroyalbloodedclanmember." The girl glared as she realized the blank stare of the Hokage's meant that she would have to actually speak slower.

"I... I got asked to the festival by a royal blooded clan member." Her lips rolled into her mouth. The old man's laughter only got louder with his deep rasp of a voice. The girl sat in silent mortification and played with her thin pale fingers to divert her attention from the noise that only worsened her slight embarrassment.

"I-I'm sorry child, who asked you?" Itachi

The old man assumed in his mind but asked nonetheless, wanting to hear how mortified the girl would be in admitting she had a date with the prodigy.

"Shisui," She finally grumbled out, her face scarlet as she remembered the wolfish smile he sent her upon asking her.

He blinked in surprise but the smirk returned as he saw the expression on her face.

"Why the disappointment, Aiko? Did you want someone else to as-"

"I didn't expect to go, why would I expect Itachi to ask me?" She cut the old man off with a huff and his smirk widened as it dawned on her the words she spoke. "I knew you were thinking of him." She tried to offer and she knew he didn't believe her at all.

"So I assume you would like for me to cancel your trip home, I believe?" He asked in a smug tone as he smokes his pipe, staring out the window once more with his knowing smirk.

"Yes, you damned old man." She grumbled and squeaked when a quick pain struck her head. "Why do you have chopsticks at your desk?!"

"Aiko! Aiko!" A small voice screeched and the dark haired girl blinked before looking in front of the counter.

"How could you?!" The amber eyed girl blinked, confused at Ino's words.

"What are you talking about, and shouldn't you be at the academy?" I furrowed my eyebrows and she pointed at me with tears in her eyes.

"You're ruining it! Why would you cheat on Itachi with Shisui?!" She cried and I blinked. Me... Cheating on Itachi? The thought of me dating Itachi flashed in my mind and caused heat to flare on my chest beneath my kimono.

"Ino, I don't date Itachi. And how did you know Shisui asked me to the festival?" She smiled sheepishly.

"Sasuke may have snuck out of lessons and I may have followed behind him to the village gates." She hid behind her hair and a smile stuck to her face.
