(Back to April)

"What the hell do you mean I'm failing?!" I screamed into my advisors face as I slammed my art supplies back onto his desk; my charcoal rolling off the table and clattering to the ground.

"I don't know why I noticed this earlier. You were such a promising up and comer but now your works are just...boring. Lackluster colors...it's like a nursing home on a canvas. Now if you don't do something, I'm afraid I'll have to fail you. You'll either have to dropout of my class or take another semester." He stated simply, I could detect the smallest faint grin on his face.

"Oh. So this is amusing to you?"

"The only thing amusing is the lack of talent in your latest pieces. Now you have two options, studying abroad to work with some specialists or flunk out." Was my advisor stupid? Clearly if he'd think I'd pass up this chance to study out of the country.

"Where?" I groaned, pushing him out of spite.

"South Korea."

"You win. When do I leave?"

"Next Friday."

"Perfect." Things might start to look up from now on. Might. I'm not crossing my fingers on this slim chance, not worth it.
