The Dance Class

Sapphires POV

I looked to my left and saw someone with long flowing hair, and a familiar face...why do I distinctly remember her being associated with a lasagna???
And then it dawned on me.
"MORGANITE!?"
Ruby cackled and pulled away from me.
"R-ruby?" I looked at her, hurt.
"HAHA! You pig! You really thought I'd like a lame-o like you?" Ruby clenched her stomach in laughter, then looked seductively and grabbed her by her waist and kissed her. Morganite dropped the camera as the photo of me and ruby slipped out. I could feel my soul leaving my body as my heart shattered into a million pieces, I felt empty inside. I didn't know what to do. All I know is that I had this empty worthless feeling in my body... Then everything felt fuzzy....

I woke up crying, dried and wet tears staining my face. My hair was a mess, and I could feel my eye getting puffier by the second. I walked into the bathroom still shaken by the dream, and did my daily bathroom routine. I refused to acknowledge that that had just happened. I barley knew ruby! Why would I even want to kiss her? From now on, I'm going to avoid her. I just can't handle looking at her right now...

Ruby's POV

I walked over to my usual table, the one with morganite, bloodstone, spinel, and onyx. I pecked morganite on the cheek and sat down. I felt exhausted.
I had a terrible dream last night. Frankly, Morganite and sapphire were there...
"Hey babe, you okay?" Morganite looked worried. Well, if she was actually Looking at me, that's what I would assume.
"Yeah I'm fine." I looked over at sapphires usual table, aka where she's been sitting the past couple weeks. I think it's been, two? Three? Anyway, I saw a blunette, a dorito, a bird, and a purple burrito. They were all having fun, and I saw Sapphire's beautiful face glance over at me, and I quickly turned away. You know what? I can't-I don't, like her. I like morganite. I also like being popular. She also seems kinda cold and stiff.
Definitely not my type. I just can't see myself ever being with her.
I heard the lunch bell ring, as I thought, "I swear lunch gets shorter and shorter every time."

Sapphires POV

I said bye to my friends and put my tray on the rack by the cafeteria door. I walked down the hall and felt something push me.
"Watch where your going, runt."
I immediately knew who it was.
Jasper.
Something pink flashed by her shoulder, but I just ignored It and the cheeto puff and walked to my next class-dance. I love dancing-I've been doing it since before I could walk.

Room 302, 302... Rang through my head as I brushed my pale blue hair off my shoulder. 299, 300, 301...aha! 302!
Once I realized that room 302 was the gym, I walked into the classroom and saw Sardonyx was our new dance teacher! That's awesome! She's bird-I mean, She's pearl's sister! I know me and pearl didn't get along before, but, Mrs. Rose was awesome and she made us become awesome friends. To be honest, I thought I was gonna be friends with Ruby before Pearl.
Anyway!
I walked over to Sardonyx and gave her a big hug.
"Hi Sardy!! When did you start teaching a class?" I said releasing the hug.
"Oh, just graduated school and decided to do two of my most favorite things- stalk my sister-and dance." We both laughed and I heard the gym doors open, I looked over towards the front of the room. I saw ruby walk in with a dark wine red duffle bag hung over her shoulder. I rolled my eye and told Sardonyx I was headin to the changing room. I walked over and glanced around the smelly room. It reeked of sweat and piss. I ignored it, and took my locker key out from my bag. Seeing as my bag was only full of some loose change and an empty packet of gum they weren't hard to find. I opened up locker 234 and grabbed my dance outfit which was a black tank top that said, "Keep calm and dance" on it with some ash colored legging all topped off with a nice black and white flannel tied around my waist. I just had some plain socks on, since they're easier to glide and leap in. Right as I finished getting changed ruby walked in, and I sighed in relief. Perfect timing. I locked my locker and headed out of the stinky room and started to do some stretches. I started with some simple yoga and ended with some flips and the splits. Just then did I realize how flexible I've gotten. Ruby then walked out of the room dressed in a sleeveless tank top with some wine red shorts with a red and black flannel around her waist. A/N her normal outfit with a red flannel XD She did some easy stretches and waited for Sardonyx to call attention to the class. As if on cue, Sardonyx called everyone over to where she was standing in the room. I didn't have to walk far, but I climbed in the bleachers anyway. I looked down at the small room and for once felt a lil bit tall. (ME) I smirked but that fantasy was interrupted with Ruby clanking her way up and sat next to me. I scooted a little bit a ways away and payed attention to the teacher instead of Ruby.
"Okay class, so today we will start our big project. We will be hosting a talent show! Now, I will slept the show into two ways: Singing and Dancing. First I will call the singing half and then the Dancing half, and then I'll split everyone into pairs of two. Now please wait patiently as I call your names-" she said grabbing a sheet from her pocket. Ruby tried to start a conversation with me but I ignored her. I don't know why, but I just felt angry with her. It's like when I look at her, it's just something, no. Someone I've lost and really want back, but can't have. "Hello? Home world to Sapphire?" Ruby waved a hand I front of me. "Will you stop already? I'm trying to focus, damnit!" I said smacking her hand away from my face. I felt a small pang of guilt but just ignored it. I walked down the bleachers and sat on the gym floor next to Lapis.
"Hey bud wassup." Lapis said as she high fived me. "Nothing really." I responded.
"Cool."
"Yeah..."
I looked at ruby in the corner of my eye, and saw her looking dumbfounded. Another small pang hit me in the gut. Once again, ignored.
"Aaaaaand, now for the dancing half! Our first pair is Lapis and Pearl!" Sardonyx continued. Oh Sh*t! I wasn't paying attention!
"...Morganite and Jasper, and our last pair......"She looked at her paper once more. "Aha! Ruby and Sapphire! Alright everyone pick your music and get started on your routines!"

A/N PLEASE READ

alright. so i wrote this story a long time ago. i really am sorry that i haven't done anything with it more or less anything on my account and it's probably because the lack of motivation and my school sucks ass. i hate it there, and everyone seems to enjoy tearing down what little of my confidence i have left. i know i could have it worse, and i'm thankful that i don't. but i honestly have no idea where this story was going but i'll try to work on it if i had the time. it's summer now, so i should be able to squeeze in a few more chapter.
