I giggled as the group messages came in, my phone buzzed and I checked it to see that Donnie had texted me.
Donatello💜: hello there, I was just letting you know I'm gong to be stopping by.
I smiled at the message and looked around my cluttered room. I decided to clean up and tidy things up before Donnie arrived. I finally finished picking everything up when I turned around. "Holy crap!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I quickly fell backwards. Donnie stood in my living room and I didn't notice he had arrived, he startled me and I placed my hand on my chest. "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry." He said as he held out his hand. "It's fine, you just startled me, that's all." I said as I took his hand and stood up. "Yeah, not ever day a giant turtle walks into your life, uh, well apartment." He said with a small laugh and I smiled at him. "So, Donatello penny for your thoughts?" I asked as I sat down on the couch and Donnie remained standing. "Uh, well you see," he said and paused to rub his hands together and then stare at me. "Recently you know I've met you're friends, including socks. So, I've also received really good advice from two different people who I trust." He continued and I cocked an eyebrow at him and a blush rose to his cheeks. "And their advice really got me thinking, if I should act upon it or not. But here I am, and I'm going to act upon it. So," he said pausing and inhaling, "The advice was to come forward and tell you how I feel about you. And, well, I care about you. A lot. Probably more than you'll ever understand, but I knew I had to tell you because if I didn't I wouldn't have never known your honest reaction to that." He said finally and I stood. "You really mean that?" I asked him and he nodded. "Donnie, I care about you too." I said wrapping my arms around him tightly, he held his arms out for a few hesitant seconds but then they wrapped around me. "Really?!" He asked and I nodded. "Oh my goodness! This is great!" He said picking me up and I laughed as he held me tightly. "Oh, (y/n) you make me so happy." He said as he pressed his lips to my forehead. A blush clouded my cheeks as he set me down. "Look, I have to go now because I have patrol but I can come see you after." He said walking to my window and I followed him. "That would be nice." I said as he climbed out. I reached out for him, "Hey, Donnie." I said as he turned to look at me. "Be careful." I said and he nodded. "Now that I have a reason, I'll be careful." He said as I let go of his hand and he jumped down into the evening sky.
