I pulled my raincoat around my as the droplets of water fell around me. I crinkled my nose as one hit the tip of it and I kept walking. I passed an ally and kept walking to my uncle's apartment. Once I reached my apartment I noticed the window was open, I walked over to close it and someone pulled me outside. "What the heck?" I screamed as I was dragged out into the rain and on the fire escape. "Socks!!" Mikey yelled and I punched him. "Miley you gave me a heart attack!" I yelled and pulled my raincoat around me again. Droplets fell down Mikey and his mask was a few shades darker from the rain. "What are you doing here?" I asked and he smiled at me. "I wanted to tell you that I think you're the prettiest girl ever and I'm not just saying that to flirt like I normally do, I mean it." He said and I smiled back at him. "Mikey really?" I asked and he nodded. "You couldn't have said this inside?" I asked over the rain and he laughed. "Wanted to make it like the movies!!" He said raising his arms and twirling around. "Oh gosh." I said laughing as he continued to dance around on the fire escape. He grabbed me and twirled me around. "Hey Mikey, I like you a lot." I said and he stopped and stared at me. "R-Really?" He asked and I nodded. "Socks, you mean that? You care about me? Even though I'm not the same as you and I'm a crazy mutant?" He asked and I placed my finger over his mouth. "Yes, I care about you. No you aren't a crazy mutant. You're just the same as me." I said and he smiled behind my finger. "You may appear a little differently than me, but were the same on the inside and that's all that matters." I said smiling and he wrapped his arms around me. "Mikey!!! My hood!" I screamed as rain began to fall on my hair and run down my face. Mikey laughed at me as I crinkled my nose and let our screams and giggles. "Hey, socks?" Mikey said over the rain and I looked at him. "I really do care about you. A lot." He said and I smiled at him. "I know, and I know because I feel the same way." I said staring up at him. "Would it be cliche if I kissed you in the rain?" Mikey asked and I laughed, "Yes. Very much so." I said as I kissed his cheek. "But maybe another time." I said as I climbed back into the window. "I'll be seeing you around Mikey!!" I said as I stood inside the apartment dripping water droplets on the ground. Mikey smiled at me one last time before waving and jumping down the fire escape. The door open and my uncle stared at me, "Gosh, you give a boy some help and he gets your niece sick. Here, dry off." He said handing me a clean towel. I smiled as I began to dry off and realized what just happened, Mikey and I were officially in like!!!
