Betrayal. War. Romance.
These were things she never admired, never considered, and never wanted. However, as she faces a chain of events that turn her life upside down, she realises that there is no running away from them.

Panic tainted my thoughts, even though there wasn't much to think about. Was I going to agree to a bargain? ''Cooperation to do what?''
''Don't you get it?'' She said it almost loudly with annoyance.
Get what? ''No...''
She made a sound of frustration. I hoped I hadn't said anything wrong. All of a sudden, she ordered her men to take me somewhere. My heart might have skipped a beat when they snatched me up from the wooden bench I had been put on and pulled me out of the door, down the stairs.
''Where are you taking me?'' I demanded.
There was no reply. Edna walked steadily in front of us and smiled with every step, as though she knew I would subject to her will. Edna opened the front door and when we were through a garden of flowers, we halted at a door.
Edna mumbled something that I couldn't hear. There was no sound or movement for a few seconds, only breathing. With a word, that I guessed was the password, the door immediately opened and I was pushed into a room.
The room looked like it was enchanted, at least that was what I thought since it was extremely spacious and empty. I pulled against the grasps of the men but it was of no use. I was no match for them.
They placed me at the centre of the room and out of nowhere, a chair sprang out behind me and I was seated. As soon as I touched the chair, I was immediately pulled down and leather straps tightened around my arms and legs.
''Now, let us continue our-''
''Continue nothing!'' I struggled against my restrains. ''Let me go!''
''Oh well. Since you don't want to continue, I'll do as you wish.''
She whistled and and a table sprang up beside her. A tray appeared, filled with tools of torture. She walked around me and looked at me with a serious expression. ''You see, I had originally wanted to tell you of my plans but because you didn't want me to, I might as well as just end this.''
Images of childhood memories lingered in my mind. Pictures of my father and... Layla! Oh no! I had forgotten about her in the midst of all the chaos I had gone through! I wished she was in a better situation, unlike me. Edna touched one of the tools, ready to pick it up.
''Please don't! Do proceed with whatever you want to tell me. Just don't do anything to me.''
''Alright then. Your request is granted,'' she lowered herself to my level. ''On one condition, that is to agree with what I'm going to tell you next.''
I unintentionally killed off my last few brain cells thinking about what I should do. All my dreams would be shattered like glass if I made a wrong choice. However, if this was the right choice...
''Yes, I will agree,'' I said out of desperation.
''You are an intelligent one, my sister. You know how to trust someone, especially when you're a damsel in distress. Anyways, that's not the point. Now, listen very carefully. I have an army situated in Eriador and all we need now is to have you join me on my conquest against our father. And you will.''
