Seven o'clock.

Tyler checks the time, for what feels like the billionth time tonight. Josh left, for Aspyn's room, saying he'd only say hello and return to Tyler. But, as it has happened before, Josh ended up staying in Aspyn's room, doing lord knows what. Leaving Tyler alone, on the sofa, staring out the window. Bored out of his mind, he scrolls through his contacts, searching for someone to talk to. And that's when he sees Jenna's name.

Tyler taps on the girl's contact, nervously typing a message.

are you busy?

He waits for her reply, hoping she'd say no. Truthfully, he wanted to ask her out. But first, he needed confidence, which wasn't going to come easy for him. Instead of leaving his mind to linger on the fact that he could be rejected, he runs up the stairs to Aspyn's room, opening the door without knocking.

"Aspyn?" he speaks, walking over to her. She's on her bed, with the white comforter pulled up to her chest, looking at Josh with her phone in her hands. Josh, who was once staring lovingly at Aspyn–according to Tyler–removed his gaze to look at the boy who had opened the door.

"What's up, Ty?" Aspyn asks, adjusting the pillows underneath her, looking at her brother.

A smirk grows on Tyler's face, as though he's planning something. Which, he is. He jumps onto Aspyn's bed, smack in the middle of her and Josh.

"Tyler!" Aspyn yells, before bursting into laughter with Josh.

Tyler wraps his arms around Josh, giggling. "My fren!" he shouts, unable to stop the giggles escaping his mouth.

Josh just lays there, accepting the fact that his best friend was a complete idiot.

"Tyler, what do you want?" Aspyn asks, laughing and sitting up, with her back against the headboard.

"I need your advice."

"On?"

Tyler's face blushes a light shade of red, before he turns to face Aspyn. "I think I like Jenna."

Aspyn gasps, her eyebrows raising and eyes widening. "I KNEW IT!"

Josh laughs, nestling into Aspyn's covers and pillows. They had gotten all of the spare pillows from the hall closet, and thrown them on her bed to make an extremely comfortable place to lay.

"I want to ask her out," Tyler begins, rubbing the back of his neck. "But I don't know if she even likes me."

"Little do you know, Ty," Aspyn says, remembering all the times Jenna has mentioned her fondness towards Aspyn's brother -
"Your brother's hot!"
"I like his eyes."
"He's got a nice ass, I have to admit."
"I'd date him."
"I want to get to know him!"
"I love talking to him." -

Tyler, who looks as though he was just told to solve an endless equation, looks up at Aspyn. "W-what do you mean?" he stutters, sitting up. His phone, which he had stuffed in his pocket, buzzes, signaling Jenna had replied. He slides his phone out of his pocket, biting his lip.

"Ooo, who's that? You're girlfriend?" Aspyn teases, shoving Tyler's shoulder.

"She's not my girlfriend," Tyler mumbles.

"Ask her out, Ty."

"Yeah, man. From what Aspyn has told me about her, she's practically in love with you. Just do it," Josh chuckles, gently squeezing Tyler's shoulder.
