"April!Come here and get ready!"her mother yelled from far away.
"Coming."April grouned tiredly.
She got up,rolled her dirty blue suitcase out from under her bed,and shoved all the things she could get in it.After she was done she paced to her mother's room and pulled a brush through her tangled hair.Then,she slid a battered head band into place on her head.Since last night she was so tired,she slept with her morning clothes on so she didnt have to change.Then she went down stairs to eat breakfast.Her heart was pounding because was excited and sad at the same time.
"I made chocolate muffins for breakfast!"her mother exclaimed.
For some reason April wasnt surprised because it was her favorite kind of muffin!April finished it up then went to her room.Cecil was inside of her suitcase.
"Oh Cecil!You know we have to move!"April laughed as she pet him.
Cecil jumped out of the suitcase and plopped onto her bed to take a nap.
April sighed.She continued to stuff her things in her suitcase.After she was finished,she rolled her suitcase downstairs into her living room.She looked around her house.Everything was taken of the walls and it was just plain.Then she heard her father come into the room.He sat next to her and said nothing.Then they heard her mother coming down.April turned around and looked a her mom.She had three bags and was rolling a suitcase.She had a big smile and makeup was smudged everywhere on her face.
"Ready to go??!!"
April stood up and very quietly said yes.She was about to go out the front door when her mother screamed so loud that all the neibors could have heard her.Then April remembered that she had to put on her safety cloths.She put them on then went outside and saw Isabell just sitting outside.
What was she doing? she thought.
She ran over to Isabell and asked her what she was doing.
"I just was waiting out here to say one last goodbye to you.
"ok"April said as she hugged Isabell as tight as she could.
A tear pricked the corner of Isabell's eye and she sniffed.
April walked home and her dad's car was already out in the driveway.Then her mother ambled out to the car with lots of bags.April rushed to help her.
"Oh thanks April!
"Your welcome mom..."
Then April walked inside and saw her dad call a moving trailer.She went to her room and found Cecil dormant on her bed as she left him.April sighed and plummeted on her bed.Then her mother yelled for her to come down because the moving truck was here.She swiftly zipped her suitcase,scooped up cecil,raced down stairs,and jumped off the very last step.
Right as she was walking out the door two muscular men were here. They walked into the house and started to pick up tables and chairs.
Those must be the movers, April thought. April went outside and saw that the men were almost done loading the moving trailer with all of the furniture. Cecil started barking at the two men squeezing out of April's arms. April dropped her suitcase and chased after Cecil trying to calm him down.
"Cecil come back here right now!" April whistled and fumbled the dog treats out of her bag. Cecil was up on his hind legs barking with his paws on the leg of a mover guy. Cecil's ear pricked up as he heard the familiar sound that meant food. Cecil scrambled off of the guy and ran to April at full speed. Right when Cecil came April was ready. She quickly hooked his leash on and held tight as she put the food away. Realizing it was only a trick, Cecil tried to run back at the mover guy but couldn't.
"I'm so sorry about that sir. It won't happen again." April said to the mover guy hiding a smile because he looked funny when Cecil attacked.
The man only grunted and went into the truck where the other guy was waiting. Then they drove off.
April walked toward the trailer and stuck her suitcase in. She closed it and went towards the car where her parents were sitting there laughing.
