I walked alongside a busy street in the middle of the city on a cloudy September afternoon. Work was becoming exhausting; I got a promotion in the office that allowed me to work more hours but I felt drained. It also didn't help that I had to walk back and forth in the cold because of the inconvenient traffic that I didn't wish to deal with twice a day. Everything seemed to wiz past me so fast. Cars, people, bright lights flashing. To avoid the mad rush, I decided to walk the back streets to my studio apartment. Living in the city was a rush, but at times it felt stressful. As I turned the corner, I saw a man sitting on the sidewalk with hair the color of the burning sun, guitar in hand. His voice all too beautifully familiar. He looked up momentarily from playing, his blue eyes locked with mine. Memories come flooding back to me like a tidal wave. It was him. "Hello love", he said, "What can I play for you?" The city's intensity seemed to stop for just that moment. It was just me and him, and all I could hear was my heart beating a million times a second.
