Becca POV

'You cheeky devil you!' I shouted rushing into the room with Tessa following behind. We stood looking at Clare for a moment then we burst out laughing. Clare was trying her best to look cool but she was failing badly.

'Oh our Clare all marked and mated.' Tessa crooned coming to inspect Clare's neck. Clare surprised us and pulled away. We pinned her to the bed and exposed her neck to realise it was bare.

We released her and she could not look us in the eyes. 'So all the bravado of not accepting your mate and you have sex with him before you are marked!' I accused her. 'Bad girl Clare.'

'I just want to get back to my room.' Clare said standing up and moving toward the door.

'This is your room!' Tessa squealed.

'What?' Clare asked

'Well as Luna I figured since the Beta was your mate and seeing that the two of you already did the dirty. Why waste a set of sheets? This room is now your new home.' I said and we squealed happily. The person in question did not look happy at all.

'I'm starving.' Clare said walking out of the bedroom. Tessa and I followed quietly.

'So how was it?' Tessa asked softly but Clare kept walking ignoring us as she proceeded to the kitchen area. It was not hard to find since it was pretty noisy during breakfast time. The added attack last night made the buzz even more pronounced. Since we were prepared this time, there were no casualties.

Tessa and I giggled as Clare continued to ignore our questions. We soon arrived in the kitchen area and the place was full with men eating. The men were tired and the women were happy to oblige them.

'Morning everyone.' I said and all eyes turned toward me as they responded.

'Morning Luna.'

Clare's bravado seemed to be disappearing as she took in the scene before her. She moved to a quiet table as she poured herself some cereal. Tessa was sitting next to her and Clare did not look amused with Tessa's conversation.

'Henry you look tired, you must rest before you take your next shift.' I told one of the archers whose eyes were very red and puffy. 'Take your mate to your quarters and ensure he has at least two hours rest.' I commanded Lilly his mate. The small ginger haired girl smiled brightly at me as she hooked her arm with her mate and the pair got up from their seats.

'I said rest not have sex Lilly.' I reminded them as the couple left.

'This goes for the rest of you, the reserves are on duty so all the main archers need to go to their room to rest. Luna's orders.' Since most of them were finished eating they obeyed. A few wanted to protest but I stared them down and they also acquiesced. The boisterous dining area was quieter since the majority of people had left.

I was not very hungry so I opted to just have a smoothie. The pregnancy was starting to interfere with my appetite. Blade and I had opted to not tell anyone except the elders. I added strawberries and banana and a kiwi tot eh smoothie machine and watched it swirl. I was pouring myself a glass of the smooth mixture when I noticed Blade enter the room. He had spent most of the night in the field with the others. His hair was dishevelled and his clothes wrinkled. He looked tired. I put down my glass and rushed over to my mate. He embraced me as he smelled my hair.

'I missed you.' He said still holding me close.

'I am so happy you are safe.' I responded.

'I guess family means nothing to you now you have a mate.' Liam said grimly. I had not even noticed my brother in the room. I looked at him and he just shook his head. 'Figures.'
