Becca POV

Tessa had not improved. When she awoke she remained in a daze like state then she became hysterical so she was put on sedation. Her parents had arrived and were currently with her. They were distraught and Blade had to be on Alpha mode all the time to reassure the rest of the pack. It was becoming harder as whispers emanating that some members wanted to leave the pack.

Ana and Mia had also come to visit. I had my girls with me in Mia and Ann's room. We all sat in various locations around the twin bed room. I opted for Mia's bed.

'You guys realise that now things are very serious. Tessa has been hurt and we can't reach her.' I began as my little troupe looked forlorn. One of our own was hurt and that meant war.

'I think all this is connected to Blade and I.' I took out the books and opened them to the bookmarked pages. 'Mia you are good with literature why don't you read this and tell me what you think.'

Mia picked up the old book and read aloud a passage I had memorised so my mouth moved with her own.

'Okay, it says: 'The winged creatures black and grey will light the sky with fire red and yellow. When the howling ones of green and brown join together in the hallow' These Valcans are definitely the winged creatures so then what are the 'howling ones of green and brown?' she asked

'I think that is Blade and I.' I said and everyone gasped and looked at me.

'I have been speaking with my grandfather and he confirms it. I have green eyes and Blade's hazel. This Valcans only appeared after Blade and I mated.'

'That is true Becca but why?' Ann asked and the others all nodded their heads.

'That is what puzzles us at first all but if you look at this passage.' I picked up another book and opened it to the designated page. This time I read the words myself.

In the century of twenty and odd the stars of amber and jade will collide. For the Moon and Sun to align the two must become one in the firelight sky to open the portal of time. When amber and jade collide again under the twentieth and twenty second moons the portal will release the sky with blinding light to form silver grey. The Silver will hold the power to expel the dark forces of Umera so they will be no more.

'Amber and jade is just another way to say brown and green. So maybe you are right.' Clare said

'You were indeed twenty when you met Blade.' Ann continued her stomach showing plainly now. She was due in two months.

'And Blade is twenty two.' Mia finished.

'So if you get pregnant things will get worse.' Clare said thoughtfully.

I remained quiet but Ann noticed.

'Becca you and Blade aren't already pregnant right?' she asked and I could not look at her.

'Becca?' Clare asked her tone high. I fisted my hands.

'We are.' I admitted as my friends gasped.

'Oh my.' Mia said.

'Congratulations.' Ann squealed.

Clare looked a bit shaken but Mia was bouncing, 'This is so cool we have found our mates and are going to have babies!'

'We?' I asked and Mia covered her mouth.

'Oopsie, maybe Alan and I were waiting as well to make an announcement.'

'Oh we are so going baby shopping soon.' We hugged but Clare was a bit distant. We understood we did not push her.

After the initial baby gaga session we came back to my reason for the gathering.
