Stuck With Each Other

Hot weather, beautiful and clean surroundings, different people from different countries; everyone seems to be enjoying their tour in Singapore. After The Voice season 2 after party, the coaches were given time to enjoy themselves and have some vacation, and their destination was Singapore.

The four coaches, Adam, Blake, Cee-lo and Christina were standing underneath the tallest Ferris wheel in the world, the Singapore Flyer. Christina and Adam, despite having a fight, were wide-eyed and in complete awe, while the other two were full of fear.

“C’mon, let’s go ride that big thing!” Christina induced, getting so excited to experience quite a ride.

“Go on, I’ll just stay here,” Blake said, a six-foot tall man trying to hide his fear of heights.

“Oh c’mon, don’t tell me you’re afraid of that thing?” Adam teased.

“No!” Blake snapped, though it was so obvious in his tone that he has an acrophobia.

“Look at this big man over here” Adam said, putting his arm around Blake’s shoulder, “who would’ve thought that you fear that,” he said, pointing at the flyer.

Christina was a bit irritated at Adam’s remarks on Blake’s phobia when he didn’t even know the real reason why Blake had it. Well, she had been irritated at him for a couple of weeks already. “Everyone has their own fears, Adam!” she shot back. “I’m sure you have too.”

Adam didn’t even try to fight back. He had been driving her round the twist a lot lately, and the last thing he ever wanted for this tour was to get her temper set high again. In all seriousness, he wanted to make it all up to her. She’d been really distant to him since their fight on the show and it really bothered him a lot. He missed her goofy side. And yes, he has his fear too, and it’s definitely her.

“Christina,” Blake hissed like a big brother he is, giving her a look that ordered her to stay calm, and let her rage in check, knowing the thing that’s been going on between them.

“Anyway, how about you, Cee?” Adam asked, hoping he’d say yes, or maybe no so he could have some alone time with Christina, though he knew what he would get with that.

“Uh, I guess I’ll just stay with Blake, go on, you two! Enjoy!” Cee-lo said, not that he has fear of it too but more of giving the two both time to mend their problems with each other.

“I don’t think I want to ride anymore,” Christina said as she turned away from the three guys and started walking off. Her day was already ruined by some big-ego-head named Adam. But before she could step on the escalator going down, Adam had caught her arm.

“Please,” he pleaded, looking deep into her eyes. “Come and ride with me,” he said, hoping she’d say yes.

Christina crossed her arms over her chest thinking about the pros and cons of riding the flyer with him. Well, one capsule can hold 28 passengers so they wouldn’t be completely alone which was good since being alone with him was so tempting that even if she’s angry with him, she couldn’t get enough of his endearing charms. Too bad he’s so full of himself. Another thing, it takes thirty-minutes to complete a whole round. Maybe she could endure it, just think that he wasn’t there at all and enjoy the fantastic view. And besides, she’d been dying to ride in it since they arrived. After a minute of thinking, she finally made up her mind. “Alright, but you have to keep your distance from me,” she ordered just like a diva she is.

They walked to the entrance. Before they get into one capsule, Adam approached one of the personnel and whispered something, which gave a frown on Christina’s face wondering what he’s up to. Later on, the personnel were filling one capsule which were already occupied, and let both Adam and Christina wait on the side. When the last person in line got in, the personnel directed the two to the next capsule. Christina got in first and sit at the end of it while Adam sat on the other end, then the personnel didn’t let any other passenger get in and closed it, which made Christina give Adam a questioning look which he only shrugged off.
