It was Saturday already and Blake still didn’t have a gift for Adam. Aside from being busy from work, he also didn’t know what to buy. It was afternoon when she called Christina and Cee-lo to help him find a birthday gift for his fellow coach. He clearly needed their opinions.
They went to a clothing shop scanning through racks of shirts, tuxedos, denim jeans and jackets. While the two guys were busy looking for a perfect gift, Christina was busy looking at herself at the full body mirror next to the dressing room. She was just like any other girls when in front of the mirror; fixing their hair, checking their make-up, straightening their dress, and finally admiring their look. Gorgeous.
When she finished, she sat on an empty small couch that was part of the store, watching her friends get crazy on finding a gift while she was just there who seemed like there’s nothing to worry about. When Blake saw Christina just chilling around, he finally gave up and walked towards her. Christina moved a bit to give him some space to sit.
“I bet you already have a gift,” he said as he sat down next to her.
“Yup,” she replied cheerfully.
“And why you seemed happy?”
“Do I?”
“Yes. So, what’s your gift? Care to tell me?” he asked, excited to know what she got for Adam.
“Yes, I want to know what you got for Adam,” Cee-lo joined in.
Christina looked at them back and forth then finally told them what she got. “A picture frame,” she said confidently, though she knew they would think she was joking.
Blake was a bit blunted for a second and just stared at her while Cee-lo burst out laughing. Christina raised an eyebrow at both of them.
“What’s so funny?” she asked, acting like she didn’t have any clue why their reaction was like that.
When Blake finally got back to his senses, he burst out laughing as well. His ala-Santa Claus laugh filling the whole store. “You got him a picture frame? You must be kidding, lady.”
“Yes, uh, no! I’m dead serious,” she fought back.
“You going for funny gifts?” Cee-lo asked.
“No, I’m going for unique,” she winked. Cee-lo nodded while Blake just kept on shaking his head until something came to his mind. He found Christina’s gift as comical then why won’t he do the same.
“I’ll just buy him a chocolate,” Blake said.
“Oh boy! I got an idea,” Cee-lo pondered. He sat next to Blake pushing him aside. “Why don’t you get some Victoria Secret’s hottie then put them in a human-sized box,” he suggested.
“Cee-lo, you’re a genius! But, I don’t know any Victoria Secret’s model,” he laughed. Christina looked a bit apprehensive on the idea. If she was being honest to herself, she didn’t like it.
“I know one! Her name is Catherine. She’s single and I know Adam will like her. I can call her for you.”
“Then do it! That’s a great idea,” finally Blake lightened up.
“You’re not gonna do it, Blake,” Christina exclaimed. “You know he just gone through a break-up with a model.” She stood up then walked out the store leaving Blake and Cee-lo puzzled.

While she was taking a shower, Christina felt guilty for her sudden outraged at the store. She knew she shouldn’t have done that, but she really didn’t like the idea. It was pretty simple; she didn’t like Adam to get attached to a model all over again. She knew Catherine. She saw her once on a fashion show. She’s beautiful, brown-skinned, brown-eyed, and brunette, tall and has a slim body. It’s hard for her to get unnoticed. And if Adam laid eyes on her, she felt like her world would turn upside down because she damn knew Adam would like her and would spent the night checking her out especially there was nothing certain on what’s going on between them. But, why is she really over thinking about that? Maybe, he would spend the night checking her out for all she knew. Look on the positive side, Christina, she said to herself.
