Mikey was shot out the other end of the portal with so much force his legs arched up over his head before falling back to the ground. He groaned and lifted his head, looking around. Apple trees surrounded him and the strong scent of apple pie filled his nostrils.
He tried to get to his feet but fell back over. He looked down at his body and gasped in awe.
He was a horse. His fur was the same green as his skin back in the other world. He had a picture of his kusarigama on his flank and his wraps around his hooves, along with his belt around his waist. Blonde and orange hair hung in his eyes and he bucked his head to the side to clear his vision. He had wings on his back and still had his mask around his eyes.
After some difficulty he stumbled to his four feet and looked around. He spotted the broken necklace further down the tree aisle.
He started towards it when there was a ferocious shout from behind him and another horse landed on top of him.
This one was similarly colored and had spiky brown and red hair. He had a yellow lightning bolt on the joint of his left leg and had Sais for the picture. He had bright green eyes and a red mask.
"Raph! Get off me!"
"Oops!" Raph rolled off Mikey who struggled to get to his hooves again.
Donnie and Leo ran in before falling forward. Leo had swords on his flank, shaggy black and blue hair and his mask. Donnie had neatly cut brown and purple hair, a bo-staff on his flank and his mask around his eyes. They both hand unicorn horns.
"What ARE we?!" Raph cried.
"Equus ferus caballus," Donnie stated matter-of-factly.
The other three gave him incredulous looks and he rolled his eyes. "We're horses."
Suddenly the portal started shooting out Kraang technology. The four looked over in alarm. Leo tried to pull his sword out of its sheath on his side using his teeth, as did Raph with his Sais. They both failed.
Mikey scrambled to his hooves and managed to run and jump on a biodroid but it easily shook him off and the miniature army took off, taking the portal with him.
They sighed and lay there in defeat a few moments when a familiar voice perked up.
"Hey there, strangers."
