Chapter 25

We left the cavern and were met by the same dark forest. I felt lightheaded and view before me spun a bit but I still refused to ask Zared to take care of my wound.

'Which way?' I asked him having no clue of where we were. Forests here looked all the same to me no matter where I looked.

'Left' he said and we started our hike back to the village. Our journey was quiet, no one spoke a word unless it was necessary. And this was a great time to have some things cleared up between me and my inner wolf.

'What's your name?' I started the conversation. She was quiet for a moment.

'Snow' finally answered.

'Well, Snow, I hope we won't be bitches to each other from now on since we will be together forever' My voice became high like little girl's at the end. Snow snickered.

'I still don't understand why I picked you to be my companion' she said and I smirked.

'One of the world's mysteries' I felt her smile. 'So, does it hurt when we swich bodies?' I finally asked the question that was bugging me for a while.

'For the first time, yes. But from there you won't feel anything' she replied.

'I hate pain' I pounted.

'If you will be overwhelmed by anger then you might skip that part' she noted and my eyes lit up.

'Uuuuu, nice. So all I have to do is ask Zared to make me angry' I already started to make a plan in my head.

Snow let out annoyed growl.

'When I say anger I mean enraged. You will have to be in a state on frenzy or similar' she explained like a teacher.

'Hmm.. that won't work then. I guess I'll have to suck the pain up' I said and at the same time a man appeared from behind trees. He was running like a mad man and was breathing really fast.

Seeing us he stoped and fell to his knees, out of breath.

'What's the matter?' Zared asked and my eyes shot to him when I heard his cold voice. He was in bussines mode.

'Gamma... the village.. attacked by plainers...' the man breathed out and my blood froze. Zared let out a vicious growl and clenched his palms into fists. His body started to shake and right before me he started to change.

His shoulders broke back, his hips turned into unatural angle. He felt to his knees and fur sprouted from his skin. And just like that, a black wolf stood before me. He stood on his four but was to my waist.

'Ary' his voice sounded in my head and he turned his wolf head towards me. His light grey eyes stared right into my soul. Hearing his voice made me flinch. 'Do not go back home. Wait here for me to pick you up' he said and I frowned.

'You can't just leave me here. I want to help' I said but he let out another growl.

'You'll get yourself killed'

'But..'

'That's an order!' He shouted cutting me and sprinted away, disappearing between the trees, leaving me alone with a stranger.

I could feel Snow pacing out of anger.

'Who gave him permission to order us around?!'

'Well, he is a Gamma...' I trailed off.

'Yes, but we aren't some kind of minions of his. We are their mates and we can do whatever we want!' She shouted and I smirked.
