Mountains And Plains [OLD VERSION]

Chapter two

Next morning I woke up on something really soft. I tried to move but the thing let out a groan under me and I froze. Lifting my head I saw Mark laying on the couch with me on top. With my head exploding I rose on my arms waking Mark up at the same time. Seeing me he frowned.

'No wonder I can't breathe...' he said I placed my head back on his chest from the pain and chuckled.

'Are you saying I'm fat?' I asked and tried to move away from Mark again. This time it was a success. Holding my head in my palm I sat and looked at him.

'Could be' he said and sat next to me in the same position 'I won't drink again' this made me giggle.

'You said that last semester' I said with a smile and motioned for him to follow me. We both grabbed each other as a support and made our way to the kitchen. It was empty but food and plates where everywhere. I opened a cabinet to see even more drinks. Just seeing the alcohol made me want to puke. I quickly closed it and opened another cabinet. Going like this through all the cabinets I finally found the one and only who had medicine.

We both quickly drank the pain killer pills and moved back to the living room.

After two hours or so me, Emma, Mark and Ethan were left in the house. Others went home to sobber up.

I looked at the table where all my presents were and decided to open them here. There were too many boxes to carry for me.

'Present time!' I shouted like a kid and ran to the table earning myself bunch of laughts. I opened one by one and most of them contained money. I got a new watch, a necklace and earings too.

I came back to the group with the last present. It was an envelope from Emma.

'Sooo, what did you get me? Money?' I asked sitting next to her. She grined.

'You will love it' she said and I opened it. I took out two tickets and guys whistled.

'Where did you get them? I thought they were banned' I said shocked and looked at Emma. I held two tickets to the trip around the Blank Land. It was a red zone. No one knows why but everytime a boat or a plane comes near that land it crashes or sinks. Even though the weather can be nice when you get there it turns into a nightmare in seconds. Since all ships and planes sent for scientific researchs were destroyed it was banned to go near the land and put as a red zone.

And I had a chance to see that mysterious place. Just from far away but it's still worth the risk.

'Only one organization is providing the trips but only for the research purpose. Since you study biology they agreed to pick you up with them to their another attempt to get near the land' she explained and I looked at guys. They had their mouths open.

'When is the trip?' Mark asked.

'They leave on Monday' she said and I felt excitment building up.

'Sorry guys but I'm taking Emma with me' I said and placed my arm around her shoulders.

'We can't anyway' Ethan said and sighed.

'Yeah, we have two more exams to pass' Mark said.

Ethan and Mark were both studying chemistry next to their main studies. Since my biology was on the same day as criminology, I hit two rabbits with one stone but for them was a different story.

'We are so lucky to end our semester just before the trip' Emma said excited and I mirrored her expresion. She had her final exam day before me so she was the first to be off the studiesş.

'Let's go we need to start packing up' I said and we all stood up. Emma went to take her jacket while Mark went to take another pain killer pill.

I felt arms around my waist. Turning around I looked at Ethan.

'I'll wait for your return' he said and gave me a kiss.

'I'll be back in a week, don't worry' I said with a smile.
