*Phil's POV*

It was me who had to open the door because everyone else was still busy preparing whatever needed to be done for the party. I happily walked to the front door to welcome the people who had just arrived. When I opened the door, I only recognized one of them, PJ. The other one though... I don't think I have ever seen him before. Not at school, and certainly not at another party. And it kind of surprised me. Of course, I didn't know all the guests, but I have seen them all before somewhere, but this boy... He was completely new to me.

First thing I noticed: he was quite good-looking. The kind of guy who wasn't single, normally. I was sure dozens of girls would die to have a boyfriend like him, and I wondered if he was single because I didn't see anyone who might be his girlfriend. His eyes caught my attention immediately. You could drown in those eyes. Beautiful, deep brown eyes, with a hint of fear... Or insecurity?

This all happened in a split-second. The handsome brown-haired guy must have recognized me, gasping when he saw me. He looked shocked and took a step back. Apparently, he knew me, but how?

I did my best not to sound as surprised by his reaction as I actually was, and greeted both the boys with a wide smile. PJ immediately walked past me as I stepped aside, my eyes wandering back to the other boy's ones and there was a moment of silence as we looked each other in the eyes.

He was staring at me, intensely. Normally situations like this would have been extremely awkward, but it really wasn't this time. His eyes had something special. Heck, this whole boy had something special.

I suddenly realized we were staring at each other. That's why I asked him if he was still coming in, my voice luckily sounding more confident than I was at that exact moment. He seemed to snap out of his trance and his cheeks turned red as he stumbled in, muttering an excuse.

I closed the door behind him and turned around to talk to him, but he had already disappeared into the living room. I sighed. I kept asking myself the same question, over and over again. Who was this boy and why hadn't I seen him before?

*Dan's POV*

This was a good spot. Nobody had talked to me. Not yet, at least. It's not like I like being alone, I love company actually. I'm just not that good at meeting new people, I've never been.

I let my memories drift off. It always seemed like time was passing faster if you weren't focusing on it, so I tried to focus on everything else I could imagine. Of course, it didn't take long to start thinking about Phil again. I was always thinking about him.

Suddenly I realized he had just seen me for the first time ever. And I had been staring at him like a freak. I could literally slap myself for being so stupid.

Wow, I was so happy I could add yet another memory to my 'Oh-My-God-So-Cringeworthy-Let's-Forget-About-This' list. That list contained all the time's anything social had gone wrong, so basically my whole life was written on it.

I scanned the other guests while thinking. I couldn't find anyone else who was alone, like me. As I kept looking at everyone, I saw a black-haired boy - Phil. And of course, he noticed I was looking at him as he smiled en started walking towards me.

No no no no, please don't, I begged in silence. It was too late already to leave the room, so I knew I couldn't escape a conversation with him. I could only hope I wouldn't embarrass myself too much...

"Are you enjoying the party? You look quite alone, where's your friend?" Phil asked me and smiled softly, looking around the room to see if he could spot PJ.
