My new Boyfriend

Jackson's POV:
It had been a month since April and I first slept together. She still wasn't talking to me and Alex refused to tell me anything . Him and April had gotten really close recently so I knew he wouldn't tell Lexie. I felt bad about cheating on Lexie but I didn't want her to find out. If she did I'd lose her.
"Hey sweetie." Lexie said coming over and giving me a peck on the lips.
"Hey." I said I noticed Alex giving me a look out of the corner of my eye but I ignored it.
"So we still going out tonight?" She asked.
"Um.. Can I get back to you? I don't know if I'm on call" I lied
"Yeah sure sweetie." She said before kissing me on the cheek and walking off.
"And by on call, you mean avoiding your girlfriend, because you have a guilty conscience, douche?" Alex said coming to stand next to me
"Pretty much." I muttered before walking off.

April's POV:
I was sat in the ER waiting for anything to come in, it was a slow day. Nicole and the new EMT came into the ER. Nicole went over to the receptionist and the EMT came over to me. "Hi" he said
"Hi?" I replied
"I'm Matthew Taylor. You're Dr. Kepner right?" He said
"April." I said extending my hand.
"Nice. Well I was wondering if well maybe you wanted to go out, for like dinner or something tonight?" He asked me. He looked really nervous. I was about to respond when Alex came in
"Apes! Are we hanging out tonight?" He asked
"Oh is this your boyfriend?" Matthew asked
"No." I said "and I would love to go for dinner, no Alex we are not hanging out tonight."
"Cool" he said and then he ran over to attend to a patient.
"So I'll pick you up from here at...?"
"8pm" I said to Matthew.
"Cool. See you later." He said

Jackson's POV:
I found Lexie and told her we were going out tonight and I was just walkin through the halls, aimlessly, thinking. I felt bad about cheating on her still but if I avoided her she would get suspicious. I saw Mark and he came running over.
"AVERY!" He shouted in my face
"What?"
"Who is the dork that Kepner is going out with??" He asked
"I don't know. She isn't talking to me."
"Why?" He asked confused
"No clue." I lied knowing Mark would kill me if he found out I cheated on Lexie.
"Dr. Avery can I talk to you?" Jo said from behind me
"Yeah sure, later Sloan" I said, "what's up?"
"You okay?" She asked
"Why?"
"Because I heard about April's date and I don't know how you feel about her and I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who you can talk to about this so, are you okay?" She said concerned
"I'm okay that she's going on a date. But I'm not okay. She was my best friend and I lost her. It sucks so much."
"It'll be okay." She said comfortingly
"Oh by the way, of this whole secret thing is driving you insane, Karev knows too so you two can have a nice little gossip" I informed her
"You have no idea how much I love you" she laughed
"Yeah yeah I know I'm amazing"
"Nope you're a douche but I still love you" she said
"You already doing like Karev" I joked before walking off.
