I woke up about two hours later and Trent was still holding me with one hand and in the other he had a book. He looked down at me smiling as I adjusted myself in his arms. I smiled up at him and he kissed my head.

"Hey there, sleepy head," He said sweetly.

"Hey," I said, still a little sleepy.

"Enjoy your nap?"

"Yup." I stretched and yawned.

"You seem like you're still a little tired." He marked his page in the book then put it down on my night stand. He wrapped his arms around me holding me close to his chest.

"Maybe just a little." I giggled and cuddled up to him.

"It's just about lunch time, so we should get something to eat." He sat up, pulling me with him.

Just then my stomach growled and I blushed. "That sounds amazing right about now." I stood up and Trent fallowed me as I went toward the kitchen.

I heard my mother and grandmother talking in hushed voices and stopped just outside of the kitchen doorway. They were talking in hushed voices so I figured it was probably something I wasn't meant to hear. I was about to walk away when I heard one of them say my name. I saw Trent look at me and I moved closer to the doorway to hear better.

"Ellie's powers are getting out of control," I heard my grandmother say.

"I hope you're not thinking about doing that ritual are you?" my mother asked.

"If there is no way around it."

"MOTHER!" my mom whisper shouted.

"We will do whatever is necessary to protect our secret," She said sternly.

"And how will she protect herself from hunters?"

"If she doesn't have her powers they won't come after her." I let out a small gasp and heard one of the chairs shift. "Is someone there?"

I motioned to Trent to move into the living room and we went straight for the movies. We had picked out a few movies to choose from before my grandmother walked in.

"You look better, Ellie," she said casually.

"I feel much better," I said cheerily, trying to disguise the pain I felt in my heart from what I just heard.

"That's good, dear." She smiled but all I could think of was her plotting to take my powers away.

"We were just about to pick a movie to watch after lunch."

"What about this one?" Trent said holding up one of my favorite movies.

"I love Amityville Horror!" I said genuinely smiling at him.

"Amityville it is then." He hugged me and popped the disc into the DVD player.

My stomach growls and I laugh a little. "I think my stomach is yelling at me. I'm feeling a turkey sandwich."

"With chips or fries?" Trent asks as he grabs my hand.

"I don't feel like waiting for fries today, so chips." We walk hand in hand to the kitchen and work on making lunch together making lunch.

He bumped me and smirked at me. "Oops, sorry. I didn't mean that," he said, sarcastically.

I laughed and said "Yeah, okay," just as sarcastically.

He kissed my cheek and handed me the chips and I passed him the bread. We smiled at each other and he fed me a chip before going back to making his sandwich. I put some chips on my plate then put some on my bread the covered them with turkey. I watched as Trent did the same to his sandwich.

"I thought you use to say it was weird when I put chips on my plate and my sandwich?" I looked at him skeptically.

"I did until you left and I started doing it just so I could be reminded of you." He smiled at me sweetly and I could see a slight blush come to his cheeks.

All I could do was smile back and start putting the food away. As I was putting the bread and chips back he wrapped my arms around me and kissed the back of my neck. He whispered "I only ever picked on you about stuff you did because you were so cute when you blushed. And picking on your weird habits never failed to make you blush."

"Is that why you would always laugh at me when I did?"

"Yup. I loved it and honesty, I always had to try so hard not to tell you that you were cute when you blushed."

"Why?"

"Because you got violent when anyone called you cute or any other girly adjective. I remember the time you punched a kid at the park because he said you had a pretty dress on." He laughed and the sound shook me to my core.

"Well that was his own fault. He shouldn't go around calling girls pretty."

Trent laughed more making me smile. "You were an adorable terror. You reminded me of an angry kitten." He laughed harder and I turned in his arms to look up at him.

Just as I was about to scowl at him I saw the smile on his face. It was the same one that I fell in love with when we were kids. Instead of scowling at him I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him. Not skipping a beat, he kissed me back. His strong arms were holding me close and I could feel his thumb softly caressing the small of my back. He pulled away and smirked down at me.

"What was that for?" he asked.

"You have the most amazing smile ever." I smiled up at him. "Let's go eat and watch the movie."

"Okay." He grabbed both of our plates and I grabbed two bottles of tea then we walked into the living room. We put everything on the coffee table and Trent looked at me as we sat down.

"What?" I looked back at him.

He moved a few strands of my hair and smiled. "Bed head."

I blushed and ran my fingers through my hair trying to fix it. "Oh my gosh, that's so embarrassing."

"You still look beautiful to me," he whispered in my ear making me blush more. "You always have, Elle. And you always will." Then he kissed me softly and he started the movie as we ate our lunch.
