When we got back my mother and grandmother were waiting for us. I noticed my mother was standing strange.

"Trent, you need to leave," said my grandmother.

"Yes ma'am," he said. Then he hugged me and whispered "I love you."

I whispered "I love you too."

Trent leaned down and kissed me quickly on the lips and left. I smiled softly as I watched him leave.

When I looked back at the two women before me they were both glaring at me. I looked down at my hands nervously.

"Young lady," my grandmother snapped. "Do you have any idea what you've done?"

I just kissed him, I thought. It's not like that was the first time I've kissed him.

"There was a reason we moved away, Ella," my mother chimed in.

"What's the big deal?" I asked. "It's not like Trent was the first guy I kissed." I thought back and realized that was a lie. "Well, actually yes he was. But I've kissed other guys before."

My mother looked at me shocked. "When was the first time you kissed him?" she asked angrily.

"The day we moved," I said quietly looking at the floor.

"Ella!" my mom shouted. "There's a reason we tried to keep you two apart!"

"And what's that reason?!" I shouted back getting angry.

"He's the only one who can awaken yo-"

"What she means is he's not a good influence," my grandmother interrupted.

"Mother, we have to tell her some time," my mom said.

"Tell me what?" I was getting worried now.

"Nothing you need to worry about right now," said my grandma.

"But-"

"I said don't worry about it," she snapped.

"Okay fine," I said agitated. "But why did Trent have to leave?"

"Because you need to train and you can't be distracted," grandma said.

"Okay fine," I said rolling my eyes.

They started training me again and by the time the sun set I was exhausted. I went up to my room and passed out.
