"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING!" my mother yelled. We both jumped back like kids caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

"Mom!" I say shocked.

"Ella back to the house now," she snapped.

"No," I snapped back.

"Ella!" she shouted.

"No, mom!" I shouted and she flew back then landed on her butt. I didn't stay to find out what happened. I grabbed Trent's hand and pulled him with me as I ran through the woods.

When I stopped Trent asked "Ella what was that?"

"I don't know," I said breathing hard.

"Why did she freak out?" he asked worried.

"She didn't want me to kiss you." I looked at the ground.

"Why not?" he asked hurt.

"I don't know," I admitted.

"So you still want to kiss me?" he asked hopefully.

I smiled up at him and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Yes I do"."

He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close. My heart started pounding in my chest as he leaned close to me. I closed my eyes and our lips met for the first time in years. I felt my insides melt as he deepened the kiss. My knees got weak and he held me tighter to his chest. It felt as if the kiss lasted an eternity then just like that it was over. I opened my eyes and looked up at him he was smiling down at me.

"Even better than I remember," he whispered. I nodded not trusting my voice and hugged him. "Ellie?" I looked up t him. "Thank you for letting me kiss you."

I blush and smile shyly. "Any time."

"Any time?" he said smirking. Then he leaned down and kissed me quickly. "You shouldn't make promises like that, Ellie belly. I just might take advantage if it."

We both laughed and held each other for a little while.

"Ellie, I should get you home" Trent said ruining the moment.

"But I just want to stay here with you," I told him honestly.

"I would love that just as much as you but we both know you can't."

"I know." I look down.

"Ella," he whispers lifting my chin. Looking into my eyes he says "I love you."

Looking into his eyes I say "I love you too, Trent."

He kisses me softly, grabs my hand and we start walking back toward the house.
