Liberty, not a crime, while it is, if it happens in the family.

I'm now considered a threat. My heart failed to believe that. I was living my life.

The way my manager said those words to me, I was able to see my father in front of me again.

I came out silently. I could not speak a word. They were right. I am a run away. But it is not a decision for one to make just like that, in a casual manner. It could have happened in any situation, may the person was forced to take that sinful decision of leaving the whole family behind in despair.

I received my paycheck and came out, but with my heads up.

Yeah!! I walked out proudly. I nailed it in there.

Don't ever mess with me again. I will bring the maximum shame I can to u..!!

"Gaze.... Hey Gaze..!! Wait.." It was Varun. I could hear him loud and clear. But I did not want to end my pride there. I wanted to continue with it. So I kept walking as if I did not hear him calling me.

He came to me and said, "Don't worry Gaze.. I will take care of you."

"No thanks! I can take care of myself." I was still in pride.

"Ok. I have a vacancy in my friend's company. Do you want to join there?"

"Let me think about it." I got all the details of the new job and I waved at him.

"Can we meet tonight?"

"Yes. Come home. I will cook dinner for us."

We agreed on it and I turned back to walk.

Something snapped inside me.. I could not control me being overjoyed.

I turned back and called him, "Varun."

I stepped forward so that I'm close to him and I can hold him anywhere.

I held his chin and kissed him on his cheek. I was happy. He stood there confusing. But I could feel his happiness too. It was sudden... Unexpected.... He looked at me with a face full of surprises..

I said, "See you later" and started walking towards the bus stop.

Later that evening, Varun came home.

"Did you cook already?" He asked as he entered. I could see him trying to capture all the smell of the food.

I smiled. He wondered why I was so happy when I lost my job. He was walking here and there trying to do something, but he actually wanted to talk to me about it.

"Do you have something in your mind?" I asked.

"Wh.... What me? No.. No.. Not at all... I am fine. Totally fine!" He was nervous. He was blabbering. His head was down pondering over the issue.

"Ok. I have something to tell you." He looked up to my face. I could see the curiosity in his face.

"I understand that I lost my job today. I'm going to go penniless from this very moment on. But for some reason I was happy. I still am. I wanted to share that with you."

He was still looking at me, with the same face but this time it was more curious.

"Don't look at me like that. I'm happy for some reason. You do not want me to be happy?" I asked him with a pampered angry face.

"Not at al Gaze. I want you to be happy. Forever. But I just don't understand the reason here."

"Even I can't give you an exact reason for my happiness." I went and sat near him. I turned to get a good and deep look into his eyes. "Thanks for being with me. I like you very much."

I could see his pupil get dilated out of happiness and excitement. " Thanks Gaze."

He smiled at me. I felt like I opened up to him.

While we had a happy dinner, abruptly he shushed me. He touched his ears and pointed to the door.

We heard someone talking very loud and angrily. We heard them use Varun's name. As soon as we heard his name being used, he grabbed my hand and we rushed out of the house from the back door. We climbed over the fence and we hid in some place. I could not understand anything for a minute. He turned to me and whispered, "Do you trust me?"

I looked blank.

"Hey Gaze..." He held my face with both his hands, palms on my cheeks. "I love you like anything. I want to be with you forever. Will come with me? We may have to go a very long distance. Will you come with me now and forever?"

I did not know what I should think about. But my intuition had something already for me.

I said, "Yes. I will."

He kissed me hard on my lips and he took my hand and we started running again.

It was a little moment there for us. But still it was good and perfect. My day could never be that perfect. I thanked God for bringing Varun in my life.

The next minute, I heard a gun fire at us. It almost took his head; missed it by a fine hair. My fear increased now. I did not want to turn back and see who it was. We had to run. We had to run fast; as fast as we could.
