Home Again

Yamato's clone had luckily made it back to Konoha without a fuss and he ran straight to the hospital to get Katsu admitted. He passed many concerned faces on the way but ignored anyone and everyone, until he appeared at the hospital where Tsunade rushed forward when she saw Katsu's unconscious body.
"Orochimaru performed experiments on her. She has a fever and needs to be treated." Yamato informed her then disappeared once Tsunade took Katsu's body from him. Tsunade looked around, then ordered people to get Katsu to a room immediately and to put her on the drip due to her being starved of all nutrients. Turning to Shizune, she ordered her to go and inform Kakashi of Katsu's arrival and condition. With a nod, the raven haired woman rushed off to find Kakashi and Yuki. Tsunade watched as Katsu was taken off to a room and sighed, wondering what the female ninja had gone through while she had been missing.

Four hours later......

Katsu's P.O.V

The sounds of beeping reached my ears and I felt the cool breeze brushing over my skin. My body wasn't feeling feverish anymore and I felt slightly better, though my body was still weak. Feeling a hand on my own, I looked down to see Yuki sitting on the chair with her head on the bed and her hand holding mine. Smiling softly, I brushed my free hand through her hair and silently wished that Naruto and the others were ok. Hearing the door open, I looked over to see Kakashi who froze and stared at my eyes. One red, one silver.
"Hey." I smiled awkwardly, giving him a small wave. Rushing towards me, he sat down on the other side of the bed to Yuki and pulled me into his arms. Feeling his warmth chest against my head I used my free arm to wrap it around him to try and return the hug.
"You made us worried." He whispered after laying a kiss on my neck. "Your eyes...... How?" He pulled back with his arms still round me and stared into my eyes, studying the silver one which made me feel awkward.
"Orochimaru and Kabuto thought it'd be fun to experiment on me when they weren't seeing how long I could hold out until I passed out from blood loss." I sighed in frustration and glared though it wasn't directed towards the man in front of me. His showing eye widened and his arms tightened around me. "It's fine though, Naruto found me." I smiled reassuringly, keeping my voice quiet so as not to disturb Yuki. "Only slight changes as you can see." Concentrating on my nails on one hand, I made them grow longer and sharper to look like claws and held my hand up to show Kakashi. He held my hand in between his fingers and began studying my elongated nails. "Imagine painting them......" I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. Kakashi's eye flew up to mine and I could practically see the depressing thoughts going through his head. Letting out a sigh, I lifted my hand up, made my nails go back to normal again, and flicked him on the forehead causing him to narrow his eyes and rub at the spot I'd flicked. "No depressive thoughts." I scolded gently then smiled and laid a hand on his cheek. "I'm alright, and I'm not going anywhere again, ok?" He sighed and rested his forehead against my shoulder while I ran a hand through his hair.
"I wasn't there to protect you......" He mumbled quietly.
"Obito would laugh if he saw you like this." I teased, wanting him to be happier. He let out a sigh with his breath hitting my neck and pulled back to show a small smile beneath his mask.
"You're right..... He probably would..... I'm going to inform the Hokage, she wanted to ask you some questions." I nodded in understanding and gestured for him to go on ahead. He stood up and with one look at Yuki asleep and me smiling while waving, he exited the room to find Tsunade.

Ten minutes passed before I heard a little voice groan as she woke up. Glancing down at Yuki who was sitting up and rubbing her eyes, she began to focus on me and it took her a little bit before her eyes widened when she saw me awake.
"Mama!" She cried out, flinging herself on top of me. Wincing a little, I ignored it and returned the hug.
"Did you have a good nap sweetie?" I smiled softly, kissing the top of her head. Sitting on my lap, she looked up at me with tears in her eyes.
"Papa and me were worried." She frowned, her bottom lip trembling as tears trailed down her cheeks. Sighing, I held her close to me and hugged her tightly.
"I know sweetie, I know. Mama's sorry and promises to never disappear like that again." I informed her softly, running my hand through her hair while the other arm was wrapped around her little body.
"The bad man had you, right mama?" She cried into my chest, trying to calm herself down like the mature little girl I loved.
"Yes he did, but mama's home now because Naruto rescued me." I explained with a smile.
"Naruto-nii did?" She murmured, pulling back to look at me with her shining eyes. Chuckling I became amused at how much she loved her uncle Naruto and was in awe at how strong he was.
"Yes indeed. Your uncle Naruto saved me along with Sakura, Sai and Yamato." I smirked. "They're very strong shinobi, just like you will be when you're older." Tears and worries forgotten, she grinned and her eyes lit up in excitement and awe. She then began to tell me how she was going to become a great shinobi like Naruto and Sakura, and how she was going to protect Konoha like her mama and papa.

At some point during Yuki's excited speech, Tsunade had turned up and entered the room. Seeing that we weren't alone anymore, Yuki jumped off the bed and ran over to Kakashi before jumping up into his arms. I told him to take her home as it was close to dinner and her bed time, and so with a final hug from both of them, they left without complaint. It was silent between Tsunade, Shizune and I for a few moments before Tsunade broke the silence.
"Did Orochimaru do that to your eye?" She asked, staring straight at my silver eye. Nodding, I began to tell them what had occurred during my time at Orochimaru's lair. How I had seen Sasuke, how Orochimaru had ordered Kabuto to experiment on me when he wasn't testing how many injuries I could sustain before passing out from blood loss. Then to when Naruto, Sai, Sakura and Yamato had entered the lair and how I had been found by Naruto. They listened intently to every detail and I saw Tsunade tense up when I informed her of the torture and experiments. Shizune looked like she was torn between crying or being angry while Tsunade kept a calm expression the whole way through. Once I was finished, Shizune stopped taking notes and Tsunade let out a breath. "You've been through quite a bit. Did you manage to talk to Sasuke at all?"
"Anytime I could I'd usually be half unconscious or in pain." I let out a brief laugh before thinking. "I talked to him once but he seemed to have no interest in coming back to Konoha. He's too obsessed with getting revenge on Itachi." I sighed with a frown. Truthfully I wanted him to come back and I didn't want him to take revenge. I cared too much for both brothers to wish for Itachi's death even if what he did was wrong, there must've been a reason. Like an order from Danzou or the Hokage.
"Very well. You need to stay in the hospital for a day or two before you can be discharged. No trying to escape, ok?" Tsunade informed me with a pointed look. Grinning, I rubbed the back of my neck and gave her an innocent look to which she rolled her eyes at and gave me a smile. "Get well soon Katsu." She said before leaving the room with Shizune trailing behind her. Gazing out of the window, my face took on a serious expression as I thought of Sasuke. If only he didn't believe in being an avenger so much......
