By the time Akaashi woke up, Bokuto was already gone, and there was no sign of a person spending the night in the bed next to his.

~~~
"Bro, I had no idea what you were talking about yesterday," Kuroo said, chuckling. "It was all babble, I couldn't understand a word you said." They were skyping again. Bokuto beamed at him.
"I slept with Akaashi yesterday!"
Kuroo lifted an eyebrow. "What."
"Nothing! Anyway Akaashi's dad is dangerous, beware Mr. Akaashi!" Bokuto chirped.
Kuroo frowned. "Bro, I don't understand."
"BRO WAI U SO STEWPEED!" Bokuto whined, soon before seriousing. "Akaashi's injuries were actually caused by his dad. Apparently Mr. Akaashi is dangerous, and he's a threat to us, after he's seen us."
Kuroo furrowed his brows. "I've never met Mr. Akaashi."
"Well you wouldn't know even if u saw him, but clearly he's seen you. Anyways he's dangerous, so have Kenma stay at your house for now."
Kuroo smirked. "I don't need you to tell me that."
Bokuto glared at his bro through the phone, then stuck his tongue out at him.
~~~

Akaashi sat in his bed, and stared out the window.

I'm going home tomorrow.

I'm changing schools tomorrow

I might never see Bokuto again after last night.

He sighed unconsciously, then smiled, recalling Bokuto's actions from last night. Indeed on the phone, Akaashi had hoped that Bokuto would come, but that was impossible.

Or so he thought.

Bokuto really exceeded his expectations. Whether that was a good or bad thing...

Suddenly a thought hit the pretty, injured, boy.

I didn't tell Bokuto.

He doesn't know I'm switching schools.

"Son." A voice sounded, pulling Akaashi from his thoughts. Akaashi turned towards the door.

"Welcome, Father."

"That boy did not come yet, did he," he stated walking towards Akaashi.

"No, Father."

The older man nodded, setting a few bags on the table next to his bed. "There's a change of clothes in here. Go change. We are leaving now." Akaashi didn't ask about what school he was transferring to. It didnt matter anymore since Bokuto wasnt there.

Akaashi gently slid off the hospital bed and reached for the bag of clothes to change into, as his father left the room. Before leaving the hospital he met with the doctors one last time for some tips and precautions, before getting into the backseat of his fathers car.

~~~
"Where, where are we?" Akaashi asked hesitantly as he glanced out the window. They've been driving for hours, and Akaashi was positive they were already out of the prefecture. Earlier Akaashi had made the most reasonable choice and not ask or say anything about it, but now they were on a one way dirt road surrounded by forestry and no sign of civilization.
"Why do you ask?" A monotone voice replied.
Akaashi hesitated. What kind of question is that? He would probably lash out at me no matter what I say, or don't say...
"It's just we've been driving for hours so-"
"Do you want the truth, or the version of the story you always seem to enlighten me with?" His father asked eerily, cutting him off.
The version I tell...? Akaashi didn't realize he voiced out his thoughts.
The car abruptly jerked to a stop. His father slowly turned around in his seat to look back at him. His expression was terrifying.
"You not only lie to my face once, but now twice? Have I not raised you to be an honest child?! Is one trip to the hospital not enough for you?" He seethed
"I-"
"Clearly not," his father said cutting him off again. "Clearly not. I really don't want to go through dire straits to tame you, but clearly if I don't, you won't learn anything!"
"How-"
"The CCTV cameras. I have access to them," he said turning around in his seat and starting the car again.
Akaashi never really understood what his father did for a living. They never exactly had a proper conversation. He only knew it earned quite a lot of money. I know he's some kind of corporate boss or something...
The rest of the ride to wherever was silent. He didn't further question anything, and his father didn't elaborate.
