Chapter 7 - Full Moon

"Where were you guys yesterday?" Sirena asks. Whoops, we must have forgotten to invite Sirena to the moon pool.

"Just taking a swim with a jealous dolphin." I reply, not wanting Sirena to fully know about Mimmi, Ondina and I's incident.
"Yah, huh, that's what we were doing!" Ondina says maybe a little to quickly.
"Wish you would have invited me..." Sirena kicks the floor and looks kinda sad.

If we didn't know any better we would think Sirena feels a bit left out. Poor thing.
"Well actually we are going to the café if you wanna come join." Mimmi makes it sound more like a demand. Sirena looks up.
"Of course!" Sirena's mood instantly changes.

David walks up to our table. "What would you all like?"
"Usual." Mimmi and Ondina request.
"What do you recommend?" I ask.
"How about the smoothie of the day?" David suggests.
"Sure, that'll do." I say.
"What about you Sirena?"
"Umm, just some water will do." Sirena says.
"Ok so that's $14.58 total." David says. I hand over the cash to David. He walks off with our orders and cash,

I see Zac running towards us. He is with Evie and they look pretty determined to make it to us within 3 seconds no matter the length they have to go.
"Guys!" Zac is out of breath and he's trying his hardest to whisper, "M.M!"
"What's that?" I question.
"Mermaid meeting or otherwise known as M.M." Evie say in a low whisper, totally out of breath. Ondina, Mimmi, Sirena and I stare up at them, gesturing for them to continue their story.

"Ok tonight is Lily's first full moon with us. So I suggest we start getting ready at my place." Zac looks determined to make it happen, "I've brought everything we need so come to my place at 1:00pm and bring food!" Zac runs off, bumping into David who's carrying the drinks.

If the crash were to be filmed in slow-motion you would see green smoothies, a pink smoothie, some fruit and Sirena's water flying all at once towards Zac and Evie. I quickly use my powers under the table to freeze it all. It makes a loud crashing noise.

Carly comes rushing out, "I heard a noise is everyone okay?" We all nod. Except David who has just ran inside to get a towel and the mop. Carly crouches at our table and whispers, "Anyone get wet?"

"No, but do you know the time?" Mimmi asks.
"11:45am" Carly says.

Zac, Ondina, Mimmi, Sirena and myself were at Zac's place setting up cardboard on the windows. I never realised how big windows were and how small cardboard is until you have to cover them. I feel a bit tingly for the full moon tonight. It would be my very first full moon.

Lily I hope you're ready for tonight, don't be scared my child. Be strong. Be safe. Love Mum.

"Who was that!" I shout to no one in particular. Am I talking to myself? Am I having visions? What's wrong with me? The group looks at me funny. I burst into crying. "I can't do this tonight. I'm scared." I say my voice muffled from crying into the bed's mattress.

"It will be alright, I promise." Sirena rubs her hand on my shoulder.
"What was going on with you just before, why did you see Storm?" Zac asks.
"Wait did you see it too?" I say wiping my tears, "why did Storm call me child?"
"I saw your vision too." Mimmi blurts out.

"You mean Storm the most powerful of mermaids? Younger sister of Nerissa (Mimmi and Zac's mum)?" Ondina looks worried. I look around for any answers. Instead I just find the worried fascial expressions of my terrified friends.

The moon should be rising any second now. The sky is a star-less night. I close back the cardboard 'curtain' because of the full moon arrival happened in less than 10 seconds.
"4,3,2,1. It's up!" Zac reads off the SkyNavigationApp. (A/N idk if this is a real app so don't bother searching it).

I immediately felt the moon's power. I could feel it circulating throughout my body. I was being drawn towards Mako Island. I quickly used my power to lift up a little bit of the cardboard. The moon's light made contact with me.

"Isn't this what we tried to avoid, now she's moonstruck." Mimmi grunts.
"I need to go now." I demand as Ondina holds onto me.
"Nope, stay here with us." Zac said popping the 'p'.

Sirena looked terrified to be in the same room as me. I used that to my advantage. I pushed Ondina's hands off my shoulders and got up towards Sirena. She looked like she had seen a ghost, she was that scared. I walked right past her.

I opened the door and got out. I know that the group had lost faith in getting me out of the moon's spell. However I was surprised to turn around and find them there. Ondina shoot a glance at Mimmi. What were they up to? I turn back around facing the dock, a long stream of water came towards me. I looked down at Mimmi and Ondina's hands, they were responsible for this. In fury I try evaporate it all. But it was too late. They let the water fall all over me, turning me into a mermaid. I lay on the grass, immediately out of the moon's spell as soon as water touched my body. I lay on the ground helplessly.

"I'm sorry I got out of hand." I say pulling the grass from the ground.
"It's okay, we'll just have to be more prepared at the next full moon." Sirena says, not so scared of me anymore.
"I'm really glad you guys are my friends, I would have gone haywire without you all." I say opening my arms for a group hug. They lean down to me on the floor and hug my mermaid self. We all stop the hug as I start to dry myself. Finally being my human self we walk back inside and eat all our seafood goodies.

You are a strong girl. Storm says, you are a strong girl.

A/N yay what did you guys think? I was reading back my story and forgot completely about Storm so I added her into this chapter, she will be remembered for the future chapters I promise.
