'And last night you were in my room, and now my bed sheets smell like you'
Shape of you - Ed Sheeran

Unedited

The light was fading, creating new shadows and dark patches around me. The leaves and twigs crunched beneath my feet as branches scratched at my shirt and damp leaves grimed my skin. The cold breeze blew my hair in all directions and suddenly the wind went still, making my hair drop back down onto my shoulders. Mysteries were held from within the dark shadows that trees casted, creepily resembling human bodies.

The forest was no longer the enchanting land of greenery that bred life within every leaf. Once the sun hit ground and the moon hit the sky which had now transformed into a dark blanket looming over my head with splashes of white dotting the bare scenery, everything had changed including the atmosphere. The forest wasn't as pleasant during the night. Every sound made back and forth made you turn and rotate from paranoia until you were driven with insanity.

It felt like time had slowed down for once, just for me to breathe. My back gently collided against the rough bark of the tree as I slowly descended down until I was seated on the ground. My eyes closed for a few seconds as I inhaled in the musky scent of old wood combined with the fresh air. Despite the cold weather, my body had relaxed and numbed with fatigue, all I had to do was close my eyes and I would be whisked away into a land of sweet dreams.

The slight heat from the sunlight bathed my skin as I turned on my side. Even though I was half awake and had no desire to go back to sleep, I refused to open my eyes or get up since the bed was so comfortable.
The bed was so comfortable
The bed was so
The bed was
The bed
THE BED?

The realisation had jolted me awake since I was certain that I had accidentally fallen asleep in the woods last night. My eyes frantically scanned the unfamiliar room for any clues as to who it might belong to but none came up. It was almost a cabin with its walls of polished wood along with the furniture. The bed I was currently sitting on was plopped in the centre of the room against a wall. There wasn't much decorations and didn't exactly feel like a home, it felt bare and simple.

A click of a lock sounded from accross the room, stealing my attention and curiosity as to who was behind the door. A figure emerged from the other side of the door in nothing but a towel loosely wrapped around his waist. I looked away, directing my attention on anything but him but I couldn't hide the red leaking into my normally pale cheeks.
"Oh, I didn't know you were awake" A sheepish voice said becoming more confident with every word.
"Well I was!" I snapped, my anger as red as my cheeks "Could you put something on?"
"Why? Am I disturbing you?"
"You just noticed now?" I continued, fully aware that he was approaching me in the same state.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know I was such a big distraction" His tone was deep and husky as he spoke those teasing words.
"You are, you can go now"
"I actually prefer being in my own room"
"Your room?" Is he meaning to tell me that I woke up in his room when I definitely remembered accidentally falling asleep in the woods? That was impossible!
"Then I shall leave" I said slipping out of the silky sheets and locked the bathroom door behind me. The bathroom still had steam from presumably Pan's shower and a smell of fresh forest air and masculinity lingered.
I was almost startled by the young woman's reflection in the mirror. My whole face was tinted with a natural tan making my skin literally glow with a look that make up artists try to achieve. Usually, back in London, I almost never get tanned, my skin is just pale which contrasts with my light orange freckles splashed across my nose and cheeks but now it blended with my tan. Something in my eyes had caused the usuall dull green colour to stand out and have resemblance of a turquiouse ocean. The rest of me looked normal, at least I think I did, Neverland is really wearing on me. Whather for the better or for the worst, I will decide that when the time comes.

I splashed cold water on my face, careful not to ruin the pristine white sink and then tied up my hair. Another thing I have noticed during my stay in Neverland is how my acne is slowly retreating from war against my forehead. Teenage acne has been a great part in my life and I remember when I first got it, it was earlier than other children my age and was sometimes bullied for it. I just felt beautiful noe and I know you can be beautiful with or without spots but I felt better about myself.

My ear was pressed firmly against the door, open to any sounds of rustling and once I only heard silence, I exited the bathroom and mentally sighed in relief. I missed him, phew! The bed was freshly made and the curtains pulledwide open, allowing maximum sunlight to stream through the windows. Out of nowhere, a piece of paper appeared in front of me, floating in the air. I admit I was surprised and sure that the paper was going to attack me although the most harm it could do was give me a papercut and I also admit I may have tripped onto the floor. An echo of laughter came from particularly nowhere but it didn't take a genius to assume it was Pan's laughter. Curse him and his magic.

Standing up grumpily and as red as a tomato, I snatched the note and skimmed through the words.

Take a shower you stink
Love : Your amazing kidnapper

My eyes rolled at the note and I ouldn't help notice how he signed of with 'love', he could have just said from...Aaaagh! I'm just overthinking this and he could have told me before I got in the bathroom and I stomped into the bathroom unable to make the flutter of butterflies errupting in my stomach die down.

Although I came out the bathroom a minute ago, there were some additions such as femenine bath products. The brands were all unfamiliar to me but there were a selection of good smelling shampoos, body wash, conditioners and a razor, clearly he trusts me. I stepped into the shower and used an apple shampoo because that is my all time favourite flavor for anything.

After my shower, I grabbed one of the fluffy white towels by the side and stepped out of the bathroom, releasing all the steam. On the bed laid out an outfit, similar to everyone's here which is a combination of earthy materials shaped into clothes. I exchanged the towel for the suprisingly lacy black lingerie. Then I wore a murky green shirt with matching jeans that were easy to move around in. There were a few accesories of a brown leather belt and two bracelets and similar brown leather boots. In addition, there was a gold necklace with a gold arrow and the second I touched it, a shiver of an invisible force coursed through me. With great difficulty I tried to tie it around my neck and gasped when I felt warm fingers touch my neck. I turned around to make sure it was him and met with forest green eyes.
"It's okay, I can-" I was cut off my a smooth, velvety voice.
"I got it" I just about melted and felt my heart hammer in my chest at an unbelievable speed. His fingers clasped the two sides of the locket and they lingered at the back of my neck for a few unecessary seconds. When he removed them, I was met with coldness taking over my once warm body.

"Thank-" I said as I whipped around and a frown made its way on my face when I realised he was gone. Underestimating the pain of the absence of him, I didn't realise how much or why it even hurted and soon snapped out of it by clearing my throat. Flattening down my top, I left the room where a memory was just made and closed the door to try and keep the feelings in the room too.
