'Your lies the bullet, your mouth the gun'
Kill 'em with Kindness - Selena Gomez
Was it weird that I felt empty the whole day ever since my unusual encounter with Pan. I just can't get him off my mind and the fact that I haven't seen him again all day kind of made me crazy. Why have these weird feelings suddenly blossomed out of the original hate? I need to get my mind off him, and fast. Where is Bae when you need him?"Hey Felix, what time is it?" I asked him, joining the crowd with other lost boys.
"Time for weapons practice" He replied bluntly, not even sparing me a glance.
"No I mean like the actual time" This grabbed his attention and he looked at me dead in the eyes before letting out a humourless chuckle before abruptly stopping.
"There is no time in Neverland, now come on, we'll be late" he grabbed my arm and pulled me alongside him.
"Late for what?" I puffed, trying to keep in stride with Felix's gigantic steps.
"I already told you, Weapons practice" He rolled his eyes, slightly aggravated with my lack of knowledge.
"oh, what's THAT!" I crashed into his back as he stopped. Rubbing my sore arm, I tried looking over his shoulder which was practically impossible with his abnormal height. When I stepped beside him, I looked as if I was a kid in a toy store. On different stands were a collection of different weapons, gleaming in the soft moonlight. This is coming from the person who sleeps with a dagger to feel safe.I abondoned Felix to take a closer look at all different weapons just calling my name. I wouldn't dare to use them on anyone but maybe to try them out. Picking up a bow and arrow, I studied the not so perfectly carved wood and traces of it led to me to believe that it was delicately handmade.
"Good choice" I whipped around and I had great difficulty from refraining myself to put my arms around him. You would think I was some lovesick puppy.
"Hmmm..." I replied and continued to observe the toy in my hands only to avoid his burning gaze but soon five in as I looked back up at Pan, to see him looking at me with such an intent look that I can't describe.
"So can we choose what to work with?"
"Not quite" He took the precious weapon out of my grasp and held my hand, leading me to where everyone else was crowded together. It was there that I saw Baelfire and I shot him a friendly smile. he returned it with a cold look and focused on what Pan was saying. My smile died down and morphed into a look of hurt that was soon replaced with an emotionless expression.
"Today, we will just focus on working on the weapon we aren't most confident with using to patch up our weaknesses. But start of with warming up and partnering up to do duos""You, come with me" He signalled towards me, I looked at Bae once more before following Pan. "Here in Neverland, we must always be prepared for any form of attack so we work on our defense and attack but the system functions differently here. You don't choose your weapon, your weapon chooses you" His finger ran along the blade of a dagger whilst speaking.
"How is that possible?" I asked, watching the reflection of the fire dance in his emerald eyes.
"Watch"
He lifted his arm in the direction towards the outdoor hunting knife, nothing happened for a few seconds when I noticed a slight vibration in the knife and it flung into his open hand.
"Woah, how did that just happen?" I asked, forgetting the fact that he could do magic for a second.
"Magic. Everyone has a weapon chosen for them and all they need to do is unite with it. These weapons are made out of special tools like the handle of this knife came from a special bark of a tree"
"So you mean to say I can do what you just did" I looked up at him hopefully, hoping the answer would be what I hope it would be.
"With some practice, yes"
"So when can we start?" I questioned almost too eagerly and then glowed a light red when I picked up that I was over-enthusiastic.
"How about now?" He replied with a raised eyebrow, watching my excitement with amusement. "All you need to do, is focus on all your energy and imagine it coming through your fingertips and how the weapon will perfectly fit into your hand" He explains, referring to his demonstration from before.
"How do I know which weapon I point my hand to" What if I don't do it correctly like Pan showed? I mean, he has expertise in this area of magic and although I really want to do this, what if it doesn't go accordingly? Well it won't hurt to try, all I need to do is believe that I can do it.
So I exchange positions with Pan so I'm closer to the variety of weapons and close my eyes, lifting my hand. I don't point it to any specific weapon and just wait to see what happens. Taking a deep breath I open my eyes and follow all the steps Pan taught me.
