Broken Promises
Mica was one day past her 16th birthday when she was viciously attacked. She had shifted the day before as it was her special birthday when all werewolves shifted for the first time.
It was also when werewolves are of age to find their true mates. She did find her true mate, his name is Angelo. But Angelo was the next Alpha and a few years older than her, at 19.
He is dating and sleeping with a female who is one scary bitch. She's not a member of the pack, more like a rogue, wild, free and very dangerous who crosses their border freely. Her name is Carol and she's older then Angelo, at 21.
So of course, Angelo scented her and it must have alerted his scary bitch. She looked at Mica with such evil in her eyes, that stopped Mica from going near her true mate.
She went home that night and cried. Her true mate wouldn't accept her because he was having sex with the scary, evil rogue bitch of course and Mica couldn't compete.
So the next night, Mica shifted into her wolf in her own back yard and just laid on the ground with her head on her paws. She'd been thinking, talking to her wolf about life without a mate.
They were depressed and hurt because the one that was meant just for them, rather have a scary evil rogue bitch by his side instead of her, his one and only true mate.
She slipped off to sleep, tired as the night before, she cried for hours until she fell asleep near dawn. Her parents hadn't known what to do seeing as they had accepted each other immediately on finding each other. They had the perfect life.
Even her older brother Rafe had found his true mate, on his 16th birthday two years ago. His mate's name is Analisa and they are expecting their first child, a baby boy, in a few weeks.
Her parents raised their kids on their own, and not in the pack house. So they lived not too far from the hub of the pack seeing as they were the Beta couple.
So Rafe was the next Beta to Angelo's next Alpha. Angelo was the bright and shiny, up and coming leader who stood talker then the other males of the pack.
Mica had never really thought much about Angelo growing up, he wasn't in her age group, nor someone that had ever did anything nice for her to focus on.
Just because he was next Alpha didn't mean a thing to her, she being the Beta's daughter. She has never been into guys, they all seemed the same to her, horny wolves in her opinion.
As the Beta's daughter, males were stopped from approaching her as Rafe made them very aware he'd kick their asses if they touched or hurt her in any way.
So she was just laying there, under their back trees, contemplating life and fell asleep. She didn't hear the threat, didn't smell the threat coming for her.
Out of the trees the she-wolf stalked her. With lots of experience behind her, her evil rogue thoughts were to take Mica down for good.
Mica had no idea she was at that moment thought of as prey until the rogue bitch attacked. Right away Mica mind link her dad and brother, not the Alpha or his son, but her family.
Mica had been trained by her father and brother, not the fighting Warriors of the pack. But her brother and father trained her well to defend herself.
She defended herself, even got in a few good bites in of her own. So Carol was bleeding but not as much as Mica was since Carol went for the back of her neck on first attack, coming at her from the rear.
Mica blacked out only after her brother and father arrived and were jointly and efficiently taking Carol down. After Mica blacked out, her brother and father destroyed what once was Carol. They treated her like the vicious rogue she was.
