Broken Promises
Marika had once been mated to her true mate. His name was Terrance Langdon and before his death, he was the Alpha of their pack, the Thunder Peak Wolf Pack.
Her mating to her true mate didn't go well as Terry was a player when they met. First Terry refused to have anything to do with her as he was dating, or having meaningless sex with at least half a dozen females, she-wolves and humans too.
But after a pregnancy scare with one of his she-bitches, Terry reconsidered. He'd tracked her down and started to put pressure on her.
After a week, she caved, but made him promise he'd never go back to his old ways. Terry agreed and he claimed her, as in marked and mated her.
But after a while, one female he'd been intimate with, refused to let him go. Marika had no idea as it happened when she was in town. She though felt him through their mate bond as he'd touched another female and kissed her.
Now this female named Chloe, was unmated. She'd rejected her true mate named Tucker, to be with Terry, under his terms, no ties. The female's angry true mate found out who she was sleeping with and in his efforts to get his mate back, he went after Terry.
In the end, Tucker confronted them as Terry and Chloe were found together, just as Marika returned to confront her cheating mate.
Marika was outraged seeing her mate with his arms around the bitch Chloe. Marika shifted, her Wolf so angry, they went berserk and attacked Chloe.
The pack Warriors were alerted by Terry just as Tucker shot Terry in the heart with a silver bullet. Marika went mad, her mate was dead so she killed Chloe, tore the bitch's throat out, then she went after Tucker.
Tucker shot at her, hit her and she went down before the Warriors showed up and they went after Tucker. They killed him then tore him to pieces for murdering their Alpha.
Marika blacked out, the silver bullet had hit her collar bone, shattering it and the bullet fragments proceeded to do her so much more further damage.
The Warriors rushed to Terry first, took him to the pack infirmary, before even coming to look for her. By then the bullet fragments hit her blood stream and traveled.
With the loss of the Alpha, the Beta took command. He ordered the doctor to have her sent to the hospital. In the end, the bullet fragments were not all removed and she fell into a deep coma. When she woke nearly a year later, her wolf was gone.

When Marika woke, she was human, her wolf long gone. Her bags had been dropped off once another pack took over, without a protest from the current pack. Seeing as she, once her mate was dead, was no longer Luna and human, she was no longer considered a member of the pack.
When she found all this out, she put a call in to her lawyer. He then went after the pack as they hadn't returned her brand new car, one she'd purchased from her own funds. Then again once she discovered they had accessed her personal bank account and stole money.
Her lawyer, who was her uncle, then contacted the Werewolf Council. Done so, because the new pack denied they'd taken a dime of her money nor taken her car.
While she went through physical therapy, her Uncle Bart, went after the pack since he had gone to the car dealership and got the information on her new car. Then when Councilman Dexter arrived, the two entered the pack lands and examined every car until they found hers, in the new Luna's parking spot.
Marika had called the bank personally and requested copies of every bank statement that she should have received, starting from the month before she'd been shot. From the printouts, she proved it to her Uncle, as withdrawals had been made after she'd been taken to the hospital.
