Alohamora || Fred Weasley

XXIII • TWENTY THREE

The next day was remarkably eventful. It was the first of September. The day they all go back to Hogwarts.

The day started off simple. Charlotte, Isla, Ginny and Hermione were all clever and packed the night before, unlike the boys who could probably be heard from Hogwarts.

Once the boys had got everything sorted they had the hard task of trying to fit 9 teenagers all their luggage and two very stressed parents into three cars.  This was not the greatest idea. None of the Weasley boys wanted to go with Percy. Percy didn't want to go with the twins. Ginny wanted to go with Hermione. It was a shambles. About 10 minutes later they were all in car ready to take them to King's Cross.

At 10:54am the cars arrived and in true Weasley style they had to run through all the muggles to reach platform 9 and 3/4. Upon reaching the platform the large group of teens said their goodbyes to Mr and Mrs Weasley and they all boarded the train.

Ginny went off to find her second-year friends. Percy found Penelope Clearwater and they headed for the prefects carriage. The golden trio were searching for an empty carriage while Charlotte, Isla and the twins went to the same carriage they have sat since first year. ( the carriage had the marauders names carved in)

"So Charlotte, what did my dad want to talk to you about last night?" George asked.

"Oh, he just wanted to talk to me about Sirius Black" Charlotte replied

"I forgot he escaped form Azkaban! You don't think he'll try to get into Hogwarts do you?" Lee said

"Could you imagine! It would be awful." Isla stated

"I hope he comes to Hogwarts, maybe then I can prove to everyone he's innocent." Charlotte said

"Charlie, I get that he is your dad but he is a murderer. He killed 13 muggles and was responsible for for you-know-who killing Lily and James Potter." George said

"HE'S INNOCENT! I KNOW MY DAD AND HE WOULD'NT HURT A FLY LET ALONE BE ABLE TO KILL SOMEONE!" Charlotte yelled

"Woah, Calm down Lotso! But I there is a lot of evidence against him and people aren't gonna believe that hes innocent just because you are his daughter." Fred replied

"Well you guys are supposed to be my friends the least you could do is support me. Especially on an issue like this!" Charlotte said and she walked out of the compartment to find Cedric.

While she was walking down the train trying to find Cedric the train stopped. Charlotte was rather confused by this as the train never stopped, only once it reached Hogsmesde or Kings Cross.

She continued walking and luckily she quickly located Cedric and he welcomed her into his compartment and quickly shut the door due to the freezing cold that was spreading across the train.

Charlotte walked in and immediately hugged Cedric. Cedric hugged back. The two of them then both sat down.

"So, Charlotte why are you here!?" Cedric asked

"I'm sorry, it's just Fred and that kept saying things about my dad. That's a sensitive topic so I just snapped." Charlotte replied

"It's fine Charlie, I'm always here for you!"

"Thanks Ced, it means a lot."

"It's fine!"!Cedric said wrapping his arm around the girl. "Anyway let me introduce you to Cho Chang!"

"Oh! Was I interrupting?" Charlotte asked

"No it's fine, don't worry. Cedric told me about you two!" Cho said.

Charlotte spent the rest of the train journey with Cedric and Cho. She decided to ignore the Gryffindor's until they apologised to her.

The feast was rather difficult for Charlotte.
Firstly she was away from her friends. And secondly Dumbledore kept mentioning Sirius Black and everyone in the Great Hall kept glancing at her.

Then to make things worse Dumbledore then announced that the new Defence against the Dark Arts teacher was none other than Remus Lupin.

As much as Charlotte was glad she had someone to talk to when something it her life went wrong. But on the other hand she was annoyed that he didn't tell her he found a job. Then there was the monthly problem.
