Alohamora || Fred Weasley

XXIX • TWENTY NINE

It had been a few weeks since the while ordeal with Charlotte and Angelina had happened. Much of the school were conflicted as they didn't know what side to choose. Many believed Charlotte because she had always been a good student, while others believed Angelina because why would someone make up such an accusation. A lot of the older students who knew the girls found it even harder because they knew Angelina was the sort to tell lies, however Charlotte was the sort to get jealous and defensive over someone she cared about.

All of the group believed Charlotte over Angelina except for Fred and Katie Bell who were both manipulated by Angelina. Many of the Slytherins also believed Angelina because they believed Charlotte would do something like this because of the vicious nature of her father.

Charlotte spent a lot of her time in the Room of Requirement with her father as she knew he was always someone who could comfort her no matter if she was right or wrong.

"Dad, its been almost a month since Fred has talked to me and I don't know what to do. Everyone at school keeps talking about it and its driving me crazy. He's supposed to be my friend so why doesn't he believe me? Its like we need a distraction." Charlotte rambled

"Charlotte, He will come around don't worry. You two have been best friends for 5 years. I highly doubt he would throw that away for some girl. " Sirius replied

"But what if im just some girl to him Dad?"

"Your not trust me. 5 years worth of friendship cancels out 4 months of flirting. Fred is a 15 year old boy. Boys are remarkably stupid at that age, trust me I can speak from experience." Sirius said as he went and gave his daughter a hug. "Lottie, whens the next Hogsmeade trip?" He asked formulating a plan in his head.

"This weekend, why?"

"I was just wondering if you could get me some lemon sherbets and a chocolate frog from Honeydukes."

"Yeah, of course Dad." Charlotte said giggling at the end. "Anyway I best be getting back to the common room."

"Okay, bye sweetie. I love you and remember it will get better." Sirius said pulling away and kissing her on the forehead. Charlotte walked out then walked back to the common room without being found. She made it back and gave the Fat Lady this weeks password and went in to the common room and went straight upstairs.

The next weekend came around very quickly and Charlotte and Kathleen went to Hogsmeade together. Charlotte got the sweets for her father. The two went back to the castle and started walking to the common room and they could hear a commotion coming from outside. The girls look confused and go over to find Isla to ask what happened.

"Charlotte, it was your Dad. He broke into Hogwarts." Isla said

"He what? Are you serious?" Charlotte asked

"Yeah, the Fat lady and multiple other portraits have confirmed it." Isla told the two.

"Oh shit." Kathleen said

"Erm, I need to go. Don't come after me." Charlotte said

"Charlotte, I know this is hard but you can't run if your Dad is at large." Isla said trying to reason.

"Exactly, he's my Dad he's not going to hurt me." Charlotte said as she ran off down the halls all the way to the room of requirement. She walked through the door and she wasn't quite sure how to feel.

"Dad! What the fuck were you thinking!? The dementors want to give you the kiss!" Charlotte went in shouting.

"Charlotte, look I know your angry. But I did it for you so those people would stop talking about you."

"I get that Dad, but they are still gonna talk about this and talk about me. I am your daughter."

"Charlotte, don't worry about it, I can handle myself. Look they won't be able to find me in here. Walk out and pretend like nothing is wrong. And I'll see you soon okay. I love you." Sirius said hugging his daughter.

"I love you too Dad." Charlotte said as she walked out the door. The teen just wandered round the castle moping. She didn't know what to do or how to react.

Dumbledore, was very panicked about the situation and worried for the students safety. As he too believed all the vicious rumours from 13 years ago. He was particularly worried for Charlotte and Harry as he thought Sirius wanted to kill the two so he could avenge the Dark Lord. He decided to gather all the students and have them all sleep in the Great Hall under the watchful eye of the professors.

All the students were gathered in the Great Hall with sleeping bags, blankets, pillows and a mix of different emotions. Many people were scared and they had every right to be Because many people believed a murderer to be in the loose. While others were excited about the prospect of a huge sleepover with everyone.

However Charlotte was feeling neither of these. She was worried as she didn't know what would become of her father, for he didn't deserve any of this. She was just sitting thinking when a ginger haired boy came over.

"Can I sleep here?" Fred asked the young girl.

"Shouldn't you be over there with your girlfriend?" Charlotte retorted in a very sassy way

"My girlfriend?" He said confused, while gestured to the other side of the hall. "Oh yiu mean Angelina, she's not my girlfriend."

"Well it certainly looks that way, anyway why are you here?"

"I came to apologise. Look I'm sorry for being such a dick recently. I really like Angelina and she told me all this stuff and I was so caught up about being in love with her, I didn't see the bigger picture. I didn't see how badly my best friend was hurting, how badly everything was affecting her, how badly she needed her
partner in crime. And so I guess I'm really sorry and I hope you can forgive me."

"Fredrick Gideon Weasley, of course I'll forgive you. Your my best friend." Charlotte said as the two hugged each other neither wanting to ever let go
