*~Bill's Point of View~*

The next two days were surprising. (M/n) was brimming with excitement exhilaration that it's almost impossible to believe he wants to help Bill so badly. Heck, it almost scared Bill.

The first day was when he tried to teach him how to use telekinesis. (M/n) tried to do it with his things. Most of them didn't move an inch. He almost gave up hope until he managed to make one of his books levitate. And after that, he was almost trying to chase Bill for a hug. Jeez this kid likes hugs.

The second one was making things appear out of thin air. (M/n) really struggled in that one. His head was full of ridiculous things with a mix of anxiety. At first, he tried to make a cat appear. Didn't exactly work out the way it was supposed to. He got a duck first. Then a monkey. Then a dog. And finally, he managed to make a cat appear. After that, he just adopted the cat and named it Mystery. They ended up cuddling on the couch.

Unfortunately, with two days of training with (M/n) lead Bill for two days of practicing to know more about human concepts. It was like having Math first thing in the morning!

Bill groaned as he laid on the 'floor'. "Do we have to do this?" He asked arrogantly.

(M/n) nodded. "Yeah! I even brought some snacks to teach you how to eat. Wait, do you even eat?" He raised an eyebrow in confusion. Bill looked away awkwardly.

"Uuuhh, do screams of eternal terror count?" He asked.

"Oh my gosh! You don't eat?! That must be the saddest thing." (M/n) said dramatically, placing a hand on his cheek. He sat down cross-legged and crossed his arms.

"So! Since eating probably won't work out, let's continue with the touching exercise. Give me your hand." (M/n) asked for his hand, causing him to back away a bit.

"Uhm. I don't think so." Bill said, glaring at his hand. After that night when (M/n) held his hand, he began to move away from him every so often. He had to admit, it was terrifyingly awkward for him to touch a human's hand intimately. He was used to touching hands when it comes to deals but when it comes to intimacy? Nope.

"But why? You were doing so good the first time!" (M/n) whined, crossing his arms. Bill shrugged. "I don't know. I just don't want to."

"Fine." (M/n) started to think up ways to teach him how to be human. An idea popped into his head. "Well, since you're really uncomfortable with physical contact, let's talk about human emotions instead!"

He happily scooted closer beside the demon and placed his thumb and index finger on his chin.

"So," (M/n) began. "What is the emotion that you feel the most?" He asked. Bill looked at him with a dull eye. "Besides anger? Vengeance."

"I don't think...well, do you know any other emotions?" (M/n) asked again. Bill crossed his arms. "Well, I do find you humans funny at times. Like, how you break into war after some silly little argument. How you have the will to not give up. And how you just cry when you lose a family member! How idiotic is that?"

Bill began to laugh, clutching his triangular body. But (M/n) wasn't enjoying this. His expression was sad and offended and his eyebrows furrowed. The demon's laughing fit died out and he looked at (M/n)'s expression. "Hey, what's wrong?"

"I'm...starting to not like this. Maybe we should continue this another time?" (M/n) stood up, despair replacing his excited atmosphere.

That's when Bill realized his mistake.

He offended him when he said losing a family member was idiotic. Guilt started to build up in his chest. Before he could ask to go back, Bill stopped him.

"I'm...sorry. I didn't mean to offend you when I said the losing a family member part. I guess old habits tend to stick around me." Bill said, gripping on the (H/c) haired male's shoulder.

He heard him sniffle a bit and wiped his tears. (M/n) whipped his head around, a smile mixed with joy and sadness bright on his face.

"Thanks. And that's how forgiveness works! You're really pulling this off well, Bill!" He said proudly. Bill could feel himself get flustered and angry. He snapped his fingers, getting ready to send him off

"Alright, enough with the compliments. Just go back home, (M/n)." And immediately, he was gone in blue flames. But he could almost see a cocky smile on his apprentice's face before disappearing. Dork.

*~(M/n)'s Point of View~*

His (E/c) eyes opened and he blinked, trying to clear his sight. (M/n) could feel his lips curling into a smile.

"Bill actually said my name this time." He whispered to himself. He didn't bother getting up anytime soon so he just laid on his bed, reaching his hand out once again.

When he does this, it always feels like someone is holding his hand back and it always made him get butterflies in his stomach. Suddenly, the memory of his mom passed through him.

(M/n) dropped his arm and his eyes widened. His chest felt tight and he just wanted to lay in a fetal position.

"Laura, but why?!" His Dad said in a pained voice.

"I'm sorry but I just...don't want to be with you anymore." His Mom said, looking away from her used-to-be lover.

"It's that guy from your job isn't it? What does he have that I don't?!" The arguing continued until his Mom slapped him across the face and angrily left with her stuff.

(M/n) watched as his Dad touched the place where he was hit. He walked over to him in fear.

"D-Dad?" He said, gripping on his shirt. His Dad slumped on the couch, sighing. (M/n) went over to his side. "Are you okay?" He asked again.

"Go back to your room, (M/n)." His Dad said. "But-"

"I SAID GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM!"  He bellowed in terrifying anger. (M/n) backed away, before running to his room, locking it, and cried.

The memory pained him. It hurt so bad like taking a bath full of needles. He ran a hand through his hair and let the tears fall from his eyes.

Nobody would ever see him cry. Except maybe a certain triangular demon.
