I'm all too shy, can't deny
To look you straight in the eye
So hard to try
The answer is selfish, that is why
It's obvious, I don't want to lose
Because, if I would put myself in someone else's shoes
I'd see pain inflicted in those eyes
I'd welcome a violated "prize"
Hardly will I recognize the size
There's a wall out there and the crack won't arise
I'd see the same amount of despise
That the person in front of me tries to disguise
Again, looking back at myself, I won't lie
Courage is missing, where could it hide?
Overthinking is a terrible ride
Eyes are gleaming, eyes are blank
You won't even know what to think
I just wait for them to blink
To hide everything..to sink.
