September all over again

What a summer it has been

Saw you dancing in the rain

Then shook the wet towards me

Without getting the chance to refrain

Early mornings and late nights

We would suffer from hot heat and cool delight

But when it was time for us to depart

We would regret being apart

We would scold each other next day

For not meeting up early to play

Then we'd use every second to make up

By playing all games we could think of

Then attempt to escape meal time

By hiding in the tree tops from our loved ones

Just our typical setup, so we can buy more time

To be together and act like everything's fine

Recognize the scenery ?

It's me and you, dummy

Silly kids and late bloomers

All these years, however, have changed us

Now we have but the memories to preserve

What mattered most to us

There's no shame or guilt in admitting that

Sharing things with you as a kid made my life.

P.S Thanks for all the memories, good or bad

You were there and you never left

        That made you the best

        Regardless of the rest

        You passed the test ;)

        You passed the test ;)
