The streets are calling you

They want you to be happy and play

What they should instead notice

Are the words you're trying to say

Between those closed lips

There's an ever fading smile

Bitter, just like the look in your eyes

They look away, they've grown wild

Ferocious, disfigured, they glare

At the distant world, at the ghastly ghosts

Suddenly, a grimace begins to form

You saw evil, didn't you, connecting the dots

Silence still hangs in the air

After furious attempts to break free

Your wild eyes circulate the entire landscape

Escaping the grand picture will never come to be

Between black and white, you chose grey

Classy, old-school, worn out nowadays

You remain a statue, covered in dark silk veil

Alone, forgotten, a still display of  unremarkable distress.
