Zoo's exist for a reason
To keep animals imprisoned
For people's entertainment
When in fact, they're the ones in chains, not yet "awakened"
You look at those poor things held captive
You expect them to be active
To give you the show of your life
You have no idea how long will they survive
You paid a big deal to stand behind the fences
Maybe make fun of the delicate creatures
You throw them food in the idea that they'll come
You treat them like pets, that's how much they've become
You think, as long as they're taken care of
they're safe
Actually, they're so lonely, they might break
When you approach one, it backs away
It shows it's teeth, to scare you and send you away
They don't need you, that's the lesson you have to pay
But at the of the day, people are the same way
Sooner or later roles will be changed
Your place for treason is already arranged
Paying visits and acting glad won't make the day
You won't stay
