Tobias's POV
Tris is very distant and doesnt say I love you anymore. She sleeps far away from me at night. Its not like us.
Tris comes out of Thana's room from reading her bedtime story. Tris isn't gaining any baby weight still which is weird. "I have to talk to you," She says. I nod and sit down next to her on the couch.
"I can't do this anymore," she says. I'm shocked. That was the last thing I expected. "I've been trying to find the love I had for you before that day you were drunk and I can't. I love you as the father our children but I think thats all," she says.
"No. This is just something that we're going through. A bump. We can get through this as long as we're together," I say. I'm crying. I can't lose her. I lost her once, I got her back. I'm not going through that again.
"Tobias, I'm not happy anymore," She blurts. My heart shatters. She's not happy and thats the one thing that I care the most about for her.
"Okay. So, divorce?" She breaks down at the word divorce but nods.
"Technically, we already are. I still have my apartment and we can get shared custody of Thana and the baby when its born of you want," she says.
"Yeah. That sounds good," I lie. That sounds horrible. Thats the last thing I want. She leans in and kisses me, sighing against my lips. I put my hands in her hair.
"I'm leaving in the morning. We'll have to explain this all to Thana. Do you want to take her first or me?" she says.
"Me. I don't think I should be alone tonight so I'll keep her for the night," I say. She nods and stands up, walking into what used to be our bedroom.
