“Is this it?” I show Louis the vinyl record that was hidden between the Pop/Rock and Oldies section.

“Yes!” he beams with joy as he comes over to me and takes it from my hand, “you, my friend, are a lifesaver.” He manages to give me a less awkward one-arm hug from last time and an exaggerated peck on the cheek and heads back to the counter.

I’ve spent much time with Louis now that I’ve been alone at the dorms. Cassie decided to play housewife ever since she met this guy online and apparently now he’s “all I can think about, Bay. You’ll understand one day.” I groaned, of course, because who wants to be alone for such a long time after having someone with you for so long. I don’t.

Louis showed up at the door and it was like a light bulb illuminated in my head, “Any extra room at your place?”

He paced around for a few minutes, got me a bit nervous and took a bite out of an apple before he sighed and ran his hand through his short hair, “I guess,” then he smiled and chuckled a bit and gave me that awkward one-arm hug, “always.”

The extra space was not what I expected, I’ve only been here once and I completely forgot about him sharing with Niall, the blonde of the building. The basement of a music shop is not what I imagined as extra space with two guys but I can’t complain.

“So, you know Liam, right?” Louis says as he wipes the vinyl with a white cloth. I nod and look through the other records in the Oldies section, “Well, like, I know he has a thing for you or whatever I think at least,”

“Hmm,” I think about it, and shake my head, “I don’t think so, I’ve only talked to him once or twice, and he got me a drink?”

“Well, like could you like somehow not talk to him?” I stop from grabbing the Spice Girls record and move it to the 90s section.

“They’re not old.” Louis looks confused and I show him the vinyl and he shrugs.

“Anyway, did you hear what I said?” I nod my head and continue browsing after I moved the Spice Girls.

Aria comes bursting through the door with her book bag slung on her shoulder, “ugh!”

Louis looks up from the register and laughs a bit with his hand covering his mouth, “bad day?”

She sits on the stool next to me after grabbing an acoustic guitar off the instrument wall next to me, “you’ve no idea how much I hate people.” She tugs at her dark hair and strums the guitar.

“You mean people you go to school with?” we both said and Aria looked at us with wide eyes and exhaled.

“Yeah, them.”

The bell hanging above the door rang, as a person rushed in to get out of the cold weather and soon, the store was busy with teenage customers. I let Louis handle his business and went downstairs with Aria, snooping around his room.

“Bay, you need to talk to my brother,” I keep walking around and scan the photographs framed on his dresser, “he really wants you to talk to him, he sometimes doesn’t know when to keep his feelings locked in.”

I sighed when I got to the school photos and noticed Zayn on one, “it’s not about keeping his feelings locked in, Ar, it’s just that I don’t want to make him feel like I feel the same way because I don’t.”

“Feelings change, you know?” I look up at her and sigh because she’s so innocent like Ashley and I felt like she was there with me with her warm smile and blonde hair falling to her waist and I couldn’t do anything but sigh.
