POV:
Evelyn...

"NO! Are you crazy? I'll never wear that..nuh-uh"

Ang was on her knees in an instant.

"Please please please" she started begging.

Oh I know where this was going. First she would beg like this, then she would start showing me her puppy face and lastly I would receive the silent treatment.

"Ang do you know how short that is? You know I hate it when there's a lot of skin showing. Please just not this dress..any other but not this.." I couldn't help but sigh in the end.

She looked at me with disagreement but then finally gave up with a nod.

Yes! I breathed with relief.

"Don't get too comfortable missy! I have the perfect dress for you and you cannot say no to it."

Crazy girl!

I gave her a nod and she, might I add, for the seventh time ran into the walk in wardrobe.

Yes, today was the day. I woke up with a 'bright smile' and was totally 'ready' for the whole make up team who was already in my room waiting for me to wake up. Please note the sarcasm.

We were still finding my 'perfect' dress for hours now and I was on the verge to give up.

"I FOUND IT!" Ang screamed so loud that almost everyone had to cover their ears.

"I think you did.." I murmured, rubbing my ears.

Ang bought out a dress which thank the lords was not short. It did show a little bit of skin but also held its own modesty.

Though I didn't say it but the dress was beyond beautiful. It was all black, made with lace and had this exquisite beading all over it. It had an off white lining which gave it a more elegant look.

"Where did you get this from?" Crazy Ang asked.

"You know mum..always getting clothes for me even when I have dozens already." I answered rolling my eyes.

"Be happy and thankful!" It was her time to roll her eyes."Now stop talking, we only have about 4 hours till the ball starts and we need to be ready before it"

Before I could say anything else, commands were being given to the team and thus, I had nothing to do but stay still as everyone started their work.

*****

It was already past 6 p.m. when we were ready but I must say that I was really impressed with everything. Though I was going through torture, the team kept talking to me about things here and there; keeping me entertained.

Angie as always, looked stunning as she wore a tea-pick dress, similar to mine but showed a lot more skin.

This girl!

"I am so not ready.." I said frantically as we sat on the bed.

I always got nervous whenever we had an 'important' event. I hated how people stared at me as if they've never seen a girl. Their so-called 'whisperings' were always filled with mocking statements about someone or something.

"You're going to be fine E. Plus I'm going to make sure you have a lot of fun. After all, this is for you in honour of turning eighteen." Ang completed with a bright cheery smile.

Sometimes I wish we could switch lives but of course, things were not easy.

When I didn't reply she spoke again.
