The Precure 5

-UWAHHHH!! Nozomi yelled as she rushed down the hallway, clearly stressed.
-Good morning, Nozomi, I said calmly as I continued to eat my breakfast.
-Minako, Okaa-san! Why didn't you wake me up earlier? My alarm clock didn't wake me up, and now I have to eat my breakfast within 5 minutes! Nozomi stressed.
-I would have woken you up if I'd known your alarm clock wouldn't work, I responded calmly again.
-The Precure 5 have saved the city once again. Yesterday at 6:39 PM, a kowaina appeared in the northern park and caused panic, but shortly after its appearance the Precure 5 came and defeated it, a news reporter on TV said.
-The Precure 5 are so cool, saving everyone all of the time. Cure Dream also seems like she doesn't give a second thought about protecting everyone, it'd be nice if I could meet her.., I mumbled while looking at the TV, supporting my chin with my hand and missing the stiff look Nozomi suddenly got.
-Y-Yeah, t-they are cool! I hope you'll be able to meet her s-someday! Nozomi said a little too quickly with a few stutters.
-You girls have to go now if you're going to make it to school in time. You don't want to be late, right? Okaa-san said as she paused doing the dishes.
-Right, we wouldn't want that. Come, Nozomi, let's go, I said and rose up from the chair I was sitting on, and made my way to the door to put on my shoes.
-WAIT, MINAKO! I HAVN'T FINISHED EATING YET! WAIT FOR ME! Nozomi yelled and stuffed the rest of her sandwich in her mouth while getting up from her chair.

When we were near the bus stop, I noticed that Rin-san, — Nozomi's childhood friend, who I'm somewhat close with too considering how much she's been over at our house, — was already there, and looking at something on her phone.
She noticed us walking towards her, so she rose an arm as a wave while putting her phone into her bag.
-Good morning, Nozomi, Minako! She greeted with a grin when we were within speaking range.
-Good morning, Rin-chan! Nozomi greeted back with energy she didn't have a few minutes ago. Maybe that isn't so strange though, considering she's a pretty energetic type of person.
-It's surprising to see you not be here at the last minute, and walking with Minako, too, Rin teased her with a smug look, which made Nozomi proceed to start lightly hitting her arm.
-That's mean, Rin-chan! She whined, but stopped when the familiar, yellow school bus came towards us.
Once it stopped, everyone who were waiting at the bus stop boarded the bus.

The bus stopped in front of the school like usual, and everyone started to step out of the bus. A black car had arrived around the same time as the bus, and Karen-senpai, the student council president who also happens to be one of Nozomi's friends, stepped out of the car and seemed to tell the driver something before shutting the door.
Komachi-senpai, Karen-senpai's closest friend who is also a friend of Nozomi's, walked up to her after she had exited the bus. I exited the bus with Nozomi and Rin-san walking in front of me, and as I stepped onto the ground, I saw a familiar brunette standing a bit away. I left my sister and her childhood friend to continue to talk about whatever they were talking about, together with Urara-san who they met up with on the bus, and went up to my friend, Manami Yuka-chan.
We've been in the same class since our first year. She befriended me in the first term of our first year, and we've been good friends since. She has other friends too, but she spends quite a lot of time with me for some reason, which I'm of course grateful for.
-Good morning, Yuka-chan, I greeted when I was close enough.
-Good morning, Minako-chan! She replied and started walking next to me. We discussed different topics during our way to class, one of them being that she had eaten really good takoyaki yesterday.

Yuka-chan and I were in the same class as Nozomi and Rin-san. While those two were sitting next to each other, I sat two rows behind them and Yuka-chan sat at the front row, all the way to the right. Not too long ago, our class had suddenly been assigned a new teacher — Kouji Cocoda.
The chatter between students disappeared when Cocoda-sensei stepped into the room.
-Good morning, everyone, he greeted before he started to take attendance.

-I'm home, I said as I shut the door behind me.
-Welcome back, Minako. Where is Nozomi? Okaa-san asked, coming out from the living room.
-Okaa-san, you're home early. Nozomi was going to do something with her friends, I answered as I was taking off my shoes.
-Yes, I am! The salon let me go home early since it was calmer today. And I see, then, can you go and buy some stuff for dinner for me? I'm missing a few ingredients. I totally forgot to buy them yesterday, and your father is busy with working on his current story, she asked me with a begging look.
(A/N If you didn't know, Nozomi's mother works as a hair stylist, and Nozomi's father is a children's book author.)
-Okay, I'll go and buy them. Can you make a list for me? I said and put my school bag down against the wall, walking towards my room.
-Sure, I'll leave it on the kitchen table! She replied. I went into my room and changed into regular clothes before leaving again with the list.

-Now I just need to buy some tea, I mumbled to myself while exiting the grocery store, about to head to the tea shop. Okaa-san had taken advantage of me going out shopping and had written down a few more things she wanted me to buy, like her beloved tea.
-AAAHH!! I got startled as I heard screams coming from higher up on the street, and people were running past me.
-Kooowaaaiinnaaa~
I recognised that voice. I looked at what everyone was running away from, and my eyes widened when I saw it.
A kowaina.
About 60 metres away from me.
It was in front of me in real life. It doesn't seem as frightening on TV, but now that I'm actually here, I was frozen on the spot. I tried to move my legs, but they wouldn't budge.
I regained my composure after a few seconds and managed to start running, but my legs were slightly shaking. Suddenly, my face met the cold, stone sidewalk.
I had tripped at the worst moment.
By now, all of the people who were on the street before had ran away. It was the kowaina and I left.
-MINAKO!! Someone yelled. I looked in the direction in front of me. It was Nozomi, she was running. Her and her friends were running in my direction.
-RUN AWAY! I DON'T WANT YOU TO GET HURT! I yelled back at her, not wanting my precious sister and her friends to get hurt.
She first looked a little bit surprised, then she smiled softly. All five of them went in front of me and stood like a shield.
-Girls, let's go! Nozomi said, and rose her left arm up.
What are they doing?
The other four looked at her, then followed through with her decision.
-Yes!

My eyes were as wide as they could get, jaw hanging open.
-Nozomi and the others... are the Precure 5? And Nozomi is... Cure Dream..? I said to myself, shocked.
