Fun fact #4: Cure Light was originally going to have white as her theme colour, like Cure Rhythm or Cure Echo, but I changed it to yellow when I had trouble with designing her outfit.

The next morning when all of the students were eating breakfast, a couple of teachers stood up to gain the students' attention.
-May we have your attention, everyone? One of the male teachers said, gaining pretty much everyone's attention, the chatter in the room dying down. Since everyone eats group-wise, Minako was sitting across from Kozuki, who looked at the teacher with a bored look.
-What's this, an announcement about some other boring event? She said, then continued to eat.
The teacher cleared his throat before he spoke again.
-Has anyone recently seen Saitou Hirano-san from class 2-B?
No one answered, but murmuring began spreading amongst the students, and Kozuki seemed to suddenly direct all of her attention to the teachers.
-Saitou-san was last spotted during lunchtime yesterday. This is very important, has anyone seen her after that?
Yet again, no one answered, and the murmuring just increased.
So, the teachers didn't find her while they were out searching last night, Minako concluded in her head.
-H-..Hirano? M-Missing...? Kozuki whispered in a frightened tone, eyes wide, staring at the teacher. The others in her group noticed her reaction.
-Hey, are you okay, Kozuki-san? Matsuki asked, who was sitting next to her. Kozuki seemed to come back to her senses, and returned her gaze to the bowl of rice on the table in front of her.
-Y-Yeah.., she replied shortly, but it didn't convince anyone since she still wasn't acting like her usual ignorant, cocky, I-couldn't-care-less-about-anyone-else self.

After breakfast, the students were split up depending on what year they were in, and each grade would be doing a different activity. The second years were assembled on the beach, ready to hear what activity they were going to be doing.
-Listen up, everyone! Fukushima, the teacher of class 2-A, said to make the chatter die down.
-You second years will be given a paper and pencil, and due to our limited resources, please find a partner you can share the paper with. You will be going around the beach and search for any type of living organism, and write it down. Please study their appearance and their location, and think about why it's like that.
A wave of groans erupted among the students, thinking the assignment was boring.
-No complaints! Now, go into pairs! Akiyama scolded before Fukushima had a chance to say anything. Slowly but surely, people started moving around, trying to find a partner.
Out on the deeper parts of the ocean, the surface started to bubble. Since it was far away from the unknowing students and teachers, they didn't notice.
Then suddenly, something burst out of the water, causing a lot of water to splash upward — which certainly got the attention of everyone on the beach.
-What the—?!
-What happened?!
-What is that?!?
When the water cleared, it was none other than a Kiraida with a supposed seaweed-like theme standing in the water, on its way to the shore.
-A Kiraida?! Here in Miura? One of the students said with fright in their voice.
-I-It's like it followed us! Another student shakely exclaimed.
-All students, go back to the inn NOW! The activity is cancelled! A teacher shouted, and a lot of the students began to panic and push each other — trying to get to safety as fast as possible. Fukushima tried to tell everyone to not panic nor push, though to no avail.
The Kiraida had progressed a lot with getting to shore, being at the shallow part now, and held up one of its seaweed arms. The seaweed quickly extended and reached out to the students, causing many to scream. It took a hold of one of them, and reduced the length of the seaweed; pulling the student towards itself.
-RYU!! Multiple voices screamed at the same time; some of them masculine, and one of them feminine. Tachibana and Masashi were swept away by the crowd, but Yumekaze had managed to push herself out of the mob of people — really worried about her friend.
Minako was pretending to be very slow so people would pass by her and she would eventually end up at the very back, and then hopefully she would be able to sneak off and transform. Though since one of the students — and her classmate nonetheless — just got taken by the Kiraida and one of his friends weren't leaving anymore, she found it more difficult to be able to sneak off and transform.
Just as Minako looked at the struggling Shiro in the Kiraida's grasp, her eyes widened in realisation.
It came from the water, and the deeper parts too.
They didn't see or hear anything before, and a Kiraida that is basically the size of a 3-story building would probably not be completely silent when entering the ocean — which means that it had been waiting there for a while.
A student had almost drowned because of something that had been tugging at his ankles from underneath the water.
Looking at the Kiraida now, it all made sense.
It was waiting to take a hostage.
Someone had swum out in the water, which was the perfect opportunity to take someone without anyone noticing. But Minako had interrupted the process, and not wanting to be seen, it had let Tachibana go and rushed away from sight.
No one had gone into the ocean since then, and it grew impatient, so now when there were so many people so close to the ocean, the impatience made the temptation too big to resist.
But, wait, a Kiraida doesn't have any emotions... They're just mindless beings created off of dream energy that's converted into something evil and then combined with an inanimate object.
It couldn't grow impatient. On the other hand... the person controlling it could!
But this wasn't a method that seemed to be very Kudaku-like. The several Kiraida he's created so far didn't exactly have any well-planned strategies behind them. He'd always try to attack head-on, seeming to be a very impatient person.
Most people had evacuated the beach by now, but Yumekaze was standing close to the water with a face full of worry.
-HANG IN THERE, RYU!! She yelled. Minako had come to a stop, standing and looking out at the Kiraida.
But why take a hostage in the first place? It's true that they know that Cure Hope and Cure Wish can be found at Tsukimori academy, but how did they know that they were currently in Miura? Did they follow them, or was it a coincidence?
Minako looked around and took note that all students aside from Yumekaze had left, though the teacher of 2-B, Tatsuda Nadeshiko, was waiting for the two to go back to the inn and get to safety.
-What are you two doing?! Come over here and get back to the inn! It's dangerous to be here! Tatsuda yelled. Yumekaze turned around to look at her, a shocked expression plastered on her face.
-B-But... What about Ryu?!
Tatsuda seemed to hesitate with answering for a second, before finally deciding what to say.
-It's a teacher's duty to keep all students safe at all times, but this is something out of our reach! Unless Precure show up, the police will have to handle it. We don't want even more students to end up in its grasp, so come quickly!
Yumekaze was taken aback by her words.
-We.. We can't just leave him! Right, Yumehara-san?! Yumekaze had tears welled up in her eyes, and she turned to look at Minako, who was standing near her, — wanting to have someone on her side.
-Oh, r-right! She stuttered out, surprised that Yumekaze had dragged her into the conversation.
-You two still need to get to safety! I am a teacher, it is my duty to ensure that you aren't harmed! Tatsuda desperately tried to convince them. Before any further arguing could be done, a certain lavender-haired girl dressed in blue landed in front of the teacher — startling her.
Minako smiled as she saw who it was. Perfect timing!
-Okay lady, you need to get to safety as well, so uhh... don't worry about those two persistent girls and the boy. There's not much you can do right now, so I'll take care of them, Cure Wish said with her usual stoic face, and gave Tatsuda a thumbs-up. Tatsuda hesitated for a second, before turning in the opposite direction.
-Please make sure to bring them back unscathed. We're counting on you, Cure Wish! She said before running in the direction of the inn.
-Well, that was easy, Wish muttered to herself, hands at her hips. She then turned around and jumped onto the beach, landing close to Minako and Yumekaze.
-Well, well, well, if it isn't one of the puritrash — well, that's what Kudaku usually calls you, an unfamiliar and complacent voice said from above. The girls looked up to see the source of the voice, and their eyes met with a woman who seemed to be in her early 20's.
Her wavy hair was loose and in a darker shade of crimson, and her eyes in a blueish-gray colour. Her clothing had some similar elements to Kudaku's, the dark colours being one example.
