Chapter 30

TYLER'S POV

You were holding Chloe's hand when the doctor said, "You're going to need surgery."

She squeezed your hand. You could tell that she was really scared about this, and she isn't nornally one to show fear.

Chloe opened her mouth like she was going to say something but nothing came out.

"Okay, thank you." You said to the doctor.

"And Mr. Hoechlin I'm going to need you to sign some papers. Would you like me to bring then in here for you?" The doctor asked you.

"Yes, that would be great. Thank you." You said.

The doctor left the room and you turned to face Chloe. She had tears in her eyes.

"Listen, it's gonna be okay. You're gonna be fine." You said to Chloe trying to calm her down and make her feel a bit better about this situation.

"B-but... I-I'm scared." She said with a shaky voice.

"I know you are. But just trust me on this one. You're gonna be okay. After this we're gonna go and stay at Dylan's house and you can eat ice cream and junk food all day long and we're all gonna watch a bunch of movies. Okay?" You told her.

She unwilling nodded her head.

"Do you wanna talk to Em?"

She nodded her head again.

"Okay, I'll go and get her."

Just then the doctor walked in and handed you a clipboard with a pen. You said thank you to him as you walked out of the room to go get Em.

Em went inside the room to talk to Chloe.

You took Em's seat while she went to go inside. You had finished signing the papers for Chloe and handed them back to the doctor.

"We can do the surgery now if that's alright?" The doctor told me.

"Um... ya, that's alright." You said back to him.

"Am I allowed to be with her when you put her to sleep?" You asked him.

"Of course... We're just going to get everything ready. After the surgery she will have to spend about 2 hours here just so we'll know if something goes wrong, but that rarely happens."

"Okay, thank you." You said.

You went back in the room and glanced at Em. She knew exactly what you were thinking and she gave Chloe a huge hug and then left the room.

You walked up to Chloe and the doctor walked behind you and walked to the other side of her bed setting everything up.

"I'll be right here. I love you so much. You're gonna do great. I promise." You said to Chloe smiling a bit.

She pulled you down to her and gave you a really big hug and you hugged her back. She had a few tears streaming down her face and you wiped them off with your thumbs.

"Ready?" The doctor asked Chloe as he put the gas mask over her mouth and nose. "Okay, count to ten for me."

Chloe just started sobbing and shaking uncontrollably.

"I love you Chloe. So much!" You said that to Chloe and about 1 second after you had said that, she was out cold and the doctor told you that you needed to leave the room.
