ive just realized.

drastically changing your writing style is a lot like hitting puberty.

[ hear me out ]

[ i can already imagine you people losing your faith in me ]

after you hit puberty

and you stumble across baby pictures of yourself

you're like:

"Oh my fucking god i was so ugly did i really look like that oh my god abxdhwbdkanzagjshxka"

being a writer is like that

especially if you change your writing style

eventually

you stumble across your old writings

and you're like

"Oh my god this is so terrible did i really write like that oh my god abdjwjxjjakxnakldlaik"

and you just become really disappointed in yourself. i get that feeling a lot. when i write, its either im super duper proud of the outcome and just grin like a psycho

or.

i run away from my tablet, cursing and crying bc the outcome was terrible as shit and i begin questioning why i even started writing in the first place bc im just really disappointed
