My feet finally hit solid ground in a swoosh of my cloak. The sky was very grey and cloudy. I wasn’t sure if it was because of me…or everyone else.

I knew exactly where I was. A boring old street corner in the rich part of London. It was a place I hadn’t been to in years, but it was a place I knew no one expected me to go, since the last time I came, I didn’t stay very long.

I was really counting on this to work, because I really didn’t know anything else I could do. Even if they agreed, I knew I’d have to figure things out before I could stay here. I just hoped the Greengrass’ wouldn’t be to mad at me.

I went up to the door and knocked tree times. I pulled my hood further onto my head to hide my face from any passer byes. I heard the lock unlatch and the knob slowly turn. I was expecting to see Luther, Francine, or Daphne, but they weren’t there. I looked down and looked to a large eyed Humble.

“M-m-miss! Miss is alive!” Humble yelled

“Shh! Humble, it’s alright” I said, looking around me to make sure no one else heard. “Is anyone else home?” But before he could answer, Daphne came to the door.

“Humble? Who’s at-“She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw me at the door. Her expression was a mix between distraught, having cried for weeks, and being completely horrified.

“Hi” I said, just above a whisper, but it was just enough to make her start screaming her head off. I quickly covered her mouth and she stopped. “Daphne, it’s ok. I’m not a ghost. I just need your help. I promise you aren’t going to die”

She nodded her head and I let go of her.

“Oh my god, but…but how?”

“It’s a long story”

“Well, come in, come in. I’ll go get mum and dad” She said excitedly. “They should be in the-“

“Daphne?” Luther and Francine came in the room and then stopped, just as Daphne had, when they saw me. Though they didn’t scream.

“Victoria?” They asked in unison

“It’s me”

Luther cracked a big smile and Francine started crying, and from how they both looked, it wasn’t the first time. They both came to hug me.

“Oh my god. You’re alive! Wait till everyone-“

“No!” I said quickly and they all looked at me strangely. “No one can know I’m alive. I came here because I need you all to do me a favor”

“Anything, Victoria” Luther said and sat on the sofa with Daphne and Francine. I took a seat across from them. I took a deep breath and then began.

“You see, because of whom I am, I can’t be alive. I can’t go around telling people I’m alive because they know who I am now. They’ll want to kill me or they’ll want to take my father’s place. Does that make any sense?”

“Yes” Luther nodded. “But what do you need us to do”

“Well, since I can’t be me, I thought I could be someone else, someone new, but I can’t just make someone up unless I have someone to testify that I really am that person”

“So you want to be part of the family?” Daphne asked with a smile

“Well, actually I thought you could just-”

“That’s a great idea! I’ve always wanted a daughter!” Francine said excitedly. Daphne rolled her eyes.

“No, really, I don’t want to ask so much of you”
