Song: I Miss You by blink-182.
Cliche, I know, but the lyrics fit perfectly sooooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"I love you"

It had been two weeks since the phone call from The Universal Studios and none of them had even acknowledged the offer in their conversations.
Michael had not sung since the accident and Luke hadn't written since their last album, which was over six months ago. Both of them were extremely wary about their tasks in their respective departments.
However, Luke wanted to give his hundred percent to Michael and in his mind, he had decided that the song he would write would make a bang in his solo career. It'd be a great start.
He also wanted to make sure that Michael had practised enough which meant he had to persuade Michael to sing.
Baby steps, he thought.
"Hey Mike?" He questioned.
"Yeah?" The elder one lifted his head from the pillow where he was bundled up in several blankets.
"Sing for me?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because I said so." He huffed and Luke rolled his eyes.
"That's not a valid reason" He fought back.
"Sorry bud, but no."
"Okay, look. I'm here right now but you know I can disappear any second so how 'bout you open your pretty little mouth and sing for me because I'm not gonna be here to persuade you." Luke ended, his eyebrows furrowed.
Michael sat up from his sleeping position and looked at Luke. Really looked at him. Sure, Luke was definitely getting paler as the days passed and that scared Michael.
He wasn't ready to lose his best friend again.
The complexion of his skin scared Luke, too. He was getting paler and it freaked him out, a lot. He was scared of what was to come.
With hesitation, Michael picked up the guitar from the stand and placed it on his lap. He cleared his throat and opened his mouth. No words would come out.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. The air felt refreshing, to him.
"Hello there, the angel from my nightmare." Michael began, his voice hoarse and the words describing what he felt about Luke perfectly.
Luke definitely was the angel from the nightmares Michael was having oh so often.
"The shadow in the background of the morgue.
The unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley.
We can live like Jack and Sally
If we want."
Michael's fingers played the guitar, his fingers working like the water flowing in a stream.
Perfectly. In synchronisation.
"I miss you, I miss you."
Michael's voice cracked and tears started pouring out of his eyes like the British showers. Despite of that, he continued, not stopping. His hands worked perfectly on the guitar and Luke sat back, amazed at his best friend's talent and he continued admiring him, feeling his throat constrict and he felt choked.
