I'm so happy about the response I'm getting on this book and I'm so proud of DOF :)

"Thanks to everyone who has been out to a show this tour, blows my mind how many people come see our band, love you guys."
- Luke Hemmings

A part of this chapter has been inspired by a Wattpad book of which I forget the name. I'd read it two years ago and the lines just got stuck in my head.

Luke has always thought about things a little differently; he has always been a creative boy. He talked about things that were irrelevant but could leave you thinking for days.

There is always a moment when he believed that there is another world out there- a better world. There should be, there must be.

Sometimes Luke would look out of the window when it rained and always think that there were people who were looking at the rain, just like how there are people who have read the same books or listened to the same music or painted the same picture at the same time. Obsessed over the moon and the stars.

Luke aways wondered who were they? Where did they end up? Are they famous? Rich? Or are they still living on the same street? Where are they?

And then he thought that maybe there is a happy ending. Or maybe there are no happy endings. He always believed in making the most of what was now because he never knew when he would just cease to exist.

It would be too late to live then.

He knew that life has no back space, you can't go relive a memory or go back to the moment when you messed up but the thing is that you'll never know if it was worth it if you never try.

He always believed in living out his imagination.

When he was fourteen, he realised that adventures are the best ways to learn things as long as you have your best friends by your side.

They chose to drop out of the school and give their music everything and oh boy, what a hell of an adventure it was.

It is said that friends are the family that we choose and he was lucky that he already had found his family when he was fourteen. Yeah, its a little broken but it is still good. He wouldn't trade this three brothers- Ashton, Calum and Michael, for anything in the world.

His mum once told him that when you die and have three close friends, you m have had a great life. In that case, he has had the greatest life and he was blessed to have this ex-band mates in his life.

Luke knew that his passing away had caused great sorrow to the people he loved but he also knew that no cloud was so dark that the sun won't shine through.

Flowers grow back when they're stepped on and he's sure so will the people he had left behind.

Everyone has a different way for coping with their losses. Some people hide behind their words, some write to escape their problems for a while and some of them drink themselves to oblivion. It's pretty sad actually.

So when Luke walked the streets of Sydney, cool air in his hair and wind nipping at his cheeks, he looked at people who walked passed him and thought about what were their stories? Were they okay or sinking deep in the abyss of pain and sorrow?

He was so deep in thought that he didn't realise he was already inside Michael's house, standing near his unmade bed. A few minutes later, Michael walked in and plopped down next to him.
