Sometimes to seem cool, I use long words photosynthesis.

"Thankyou again for your relentless support, light and positivity over the years. It doesn't go unnoticed"
- Calum Hood

UNEDITED

Calum stood right outside the door of Michael's bedroom, gaping like a fish. He hadn't moved an inch, let alone spoken a word.

He had his hands clenched in a fist to stop them from shaking any harder than they were and he clenched his jaw so no sobs would escape his mouth.

To say he was corybantic would be an understatement. Calum had no idea what was going on and he was panic-stricken. Oh God, he was so petrified.

He backed away a bit when he saw Michael calm down and he himself blinked back some of his tears.

"Michael?" He questioned, his tone hesitant and his voice shaky.

Tears dripped from his eyes and fell down his face freely. Both of them were now crying and Luke was rocking back and forth, curled in a ball, trying to calm itself.

His mind came on coming up with the memories of his parents' worst fights and that didn't make him feel better one bit.

It looked as if all of them had been given a devastating news, they were just so miserable.

But they knew. They knew that it is okay not to be okay.

Michael didn't answer Calum, his head was throbbing in pain and his hands were trembling because he was cold and his lips were a deadly shade of blue and his heart was beating at an unhealthy pace. He was a mess. A complete utter mess.

Luke sat a few feet away from Michael, trying to collect himself and his head was shoved in between his knees that were pulled up to his chest. His thoughts were livid, he was so mad at himself for letting his happen. His thoughts were filled with self loathing and he had no idea what to do to escape them.

He was a prisoner of his own mind.

In a way, everyone of us is a prisoner of their own minds. We constantly fight battles within ourselves, in our mind. Most of us make it out alive but some of us die trying.

People kill themselves because they want to be free. All they want is freedom. Freedom that only death can give.

"Michael?" Calum tried again, his tone firmer but his eyes gave out everything. It was like he was back in high school being bullied, his eyes were filled with terror and sadness.

"M' fine." Michael said, standing up with wobbly legs. His pupils were dilated and sweat dripped down his neck causing a chill pasts through his back.

He walked in the kitchen, preparing green tea for himself and Calum. As the water boiled and Calum watched the bubbles with fascination, Micael walked over to where Luke was and knelt in front of him, not making any physical contact.

"Hey, Luke?"

Luke, however, wouldn't answer him or even look up. Michael knew what he was thinking.

"I know you're beating yourself over this but don't. It wasn't your fault. It was all me."

Luke was not even shocked by Michael's accuracy but he didn't like how Michael was blaming himself. He looked up, his baby blue eyes piercing into Michael's forest green ones.
