Dave Strider x Reader (Alternia High)

16: Snow

You sighed in relief as you opened your locker. You didn't bring your bag today since you slept over at Dave's house, and you forgot to take your bag from your house. You smiled as you remembered what happened yesterday. You let out a small giggle as you remembered Dirk entering Dave's room.

Most of your books were in your locker.  You looked over at Dave, who was walking to his locker. You grabbed some of them for the next few lessons and closed your locker. You locked it before heading off to your class.

In class, you and Dave kept on gazing at each other. Occasionally the both of you would smile.

At lunch the both of you were sitting down on the seats of two tables combined where his friends sat down. You recognised some of them. Some of them attended your class, and others you had seen before in school. The people included Rose and Jade, who were giggling away happily.

You and Dave looked at each other. "So.." you started. "The Moon Project."

"The Moon Project," he repeated. "We had one last night," he whispered to you.

You blushed and giggled softly. His cool face remained, careful not to make it obvious that you guys were a thing. You found it cute that he wanted to keep it a secret. You looked at him and smiled. He smiled back.

"This ship is so purrfect!" Nepeta squealed. You and Dave looked at her in perfect unision with a faded red on both of your cheeks.

"This ain't a ship, Nepeta," he coolly said. "We're just discussing about the Moon Project."

She purred lovingly as the both of you. Then she scurried off to the table to where a grumpy looking troll was sitting.

Dave looked around sort of nervously. You tilted your head at him.

"I gotta go," he mumbled. "See you in class." Then he hurriedly grabbed his books and bag and headed off. You were confused. You looked around. You froze when you saw the blue themed girl who pushed you the other day. She was looking at you with a cold stare. You quickly turned to look at your friends to avoid her deadly eyes.

Somehow, you felt worried. Dave had just left the table without telling you why. He had even left his bottle of apple juice on the table.

You got up and grabbed your books, along with his bottle of apple juice. Jade noticed you. "Where are you going, (name)?"

"I have to go somewhere," you said. She just nodded, knowing that you were in a rush. She looked away and continued talking with her friends.

You took one last glance at the table the blue themed girl was sitting in. She wasn't there. You felt as if something was wrong, terribly wrong. But you couldn't think straight.

You hurriedly walked towards Dave's locker. You spotted him from a distance. You breathed a sigh of relief seeing him by his locker.

..Until you realised somebody was standing behind his open locker door.

You froze. The person came into view with her lips on Dave's. She was firmly holding his arms, restraining him from pulling apart. He struggled to do so, but he kept on trying and trying and finally he pushed her away with all his might. The girl fell onto the floor as Dave struggled to keep his balance.

"Isn't this what you wanted, Dave?" the girl said with a sly smile. You gasped, recognising the blue themed girl's voice.

"Vriska, it's all in the past now. Please, just leave me alone." he said, calmly but firmly.

"You'll never stop breaking other girls hearts, will you?" She said, somehow very loudly.

He sighed and looked around.. And froze when he saw you.

"(Nickname)?" he said, surprised you were here since the hallway was empty except for you guys.

You just stood there, feeling all emotions but feeling numb at the same time.

"(Nickname), it's not what it looks like. Trust me," he said slowly, making sure you were hearing him clearly.

You just sighed. You needed time to think. "I just.. I just need some fresh air." You turned around and hurriedly walked off. You could hear Dave's footsteps behind you, but you just firmly said, "Please leave me alone." He slowed down to stop as you left the building and down the streets to your house.

You didn't look back, not even once.
