Ok so my trainer held a three day camp from August 31- September 2. and instead of making like four different chapter i decided to tell you everything exciting that happened in one. on the first night it was just me and my friend Ashlyn there so when we first got there we went to feed the horses learned how to drive my trainers little blue tractor. then we did a flat lesson with Lia the horse i ride Rita Ashlyn's horse and Rae the horse my trainer rode. that went really good Lia was amazing she's a Hanoverian warmblood. next we did a jumping lesson and i jumped 2'3 for the first time it went really well we did a lot of jumping that day. we washed horses legs my trainer lunged the rest of the horse then we worked with espie and Taps. i rode espie all by my self without any help from my trainer at all. (before she led me around on the lunge line for a minute then took me off). so after that we had supper and we decided at eight to go for a ride in the side by side down to the lake. well on our way back it was dark and my trainer couldn't see that there was a washout right in front of her..... and we tipped the side by side slightly and had to walk a mile in the canola field back to the barn because we couldn't get it back in neutral. i fell many times. the seconds day my friend tatem came and rode with us. again we did flat work in the morning and jumping in the afternoon then we rode the other horses. i rode Quinn. who i wasn't even as tall as to his withers and he's 4! I also cantered espie for three strides by myself for the first time. We also had a horse go psycho on my trainer. she was riding him because his owner got seriously injured. when he got a big up his nose and flipped out. so y trainer calmed him down and he just kept freaking out so my trainer got off him and held him on the other side of a jump (he had already broke a standard a little bit by now) when he freaked out again but my trainer wasn't holding in tight enough and he got loose and broke his reins. after that he got loose off the lunge line as well. also that night we stuck glowsticks in their mane and rode in the indoor arenas with no light on. On the third day we kinda took it easy it poured in the morning so we warmed up inside and then it stopped so we jumped outside. we ended up jumping 2'9. Lia knocked over the jump the first time and i kicked it in midair the second and we cleared it the third time. we went on a long trail ride and had a close encounter with a Coyote. it was probably thirty feet away from us so we walked quickly the other way making sure daisy my trainers dog was following us. after that we cleaned tack swept the barn and headed up to the house to wait for our parents to come.
