CHAPTER 6: Once is Enough, Twice is Too Much!
Annelise:
"Edvard!" Surprisingly blurted by the King.
I turned my face to the door and saw the arrogant guy I just met that morning. I was shocked and I knew I wasn't able to hide it on my face. "Please don't tell me he is the Crown Prince. That arrogant guy cannot be the Crown Prince." I thought.
He was standing there with his arms crossed..wearing a ray ban sun glasses, a white lacoste polo shirt and white pants matching with a royal blue cap..his outfit telling us that he was attending a golf tournament. Standing behind him was Mr. Moller, apologetically staring at the King.
"Father, Your Highness...." oh c'mon! I was right he was the Crown Prince and I was counting my minutes in the palace because I knew I was going to be dead.
"Well...I just heard from Molly that you are having a meeting with....hmmmmm..." I was wiping my tears away when he looked at me and smiled sarcastically. "with...a....so important person?" That wasn't a statement. It was obviously a sarcastic question. The King wiped his face and coughed.
"Yes Edvard, come over here..I will introduce you to her." the King excitedly smiled at us.
Mr. Moller went out again and closed the door. The arrogant guy walked towards us, he faced me and I stood up. He came close face to face with me again..and I felt a bit sore. The day wasn't over yet but a lot of things happened to me already. I vowed down my head. I felt I was going to be eaten up by the ground and I felt embarrassed by his stares.
"Son, this is...." the King said
"That girl early this morning right? Who was crossing the streets unaware?" His eyes were still on me.
"You met her this morning?" the King's eyes widened and surprisingly asked Prince Edvard.
"Yes father...well...accidentally.." He didn't even look at the King while telling about that. He was still staring at me sarcastically. The King coughed for the second time.
"Well anyways, Annelise, meet Prince Edvard Henriksen...my only son...the future King of Denmark." King Erik Henriksen finally introduced his arrogant son to me.
"Son, this is Annelise Koch. She is my best friend's only daughter. I know you remember my stories about Albert Koch and he was her father." The King finally introduced.
"Yes father, I do remember your stories about your best friend." Still, He didn't give the King a single glance. He was still looking at me..smirking.
"Awesome. You remembered. You are going to see her often here in the palace because Ms. Koch is well..hmmmm...I know she looks familiar to you...remember a photo of the girl I showed you on your 21st birthday? That was her....meet Annelise, your fiancé." the King finally blurted out that ridiculous idea. I wanted to laugh for the Prince to know I am literally against it but I just kept quiet and waited for his reaction. He reached for my right hand and kissed it gently.
"Nice to see you again after the incident this morning." My cheeks turned red and I took back my hand. I looked at the King who was beautifully smiling at us. If only he knew how sarcastic and arrogant the Prince was that morning...suddey gesturing like a nice human being was a bit odd and awkward. I raised my eyebrows without letting the King see it and smiled suspiciously to the Prince.
Prince Edvard:
No doubt. She was simple yet very attractive. She smiled at me suspiciously and my father was also smiling beautifully. I didn't know why they were both crying a while ago, all I know was the young lady in front of me was going to ruin everything in me..sooner or later she will be living with us as my fiancé and I needed a plan to ditch her out of the palace. Yes I was wrong about her physical appearances, being an ordinary girl based on the photo I saw on my 21st birthday..she grew up to be a gorgeous young lady. "Well I don't care..there are a lot of beautiful young women in the country, more gorgeous than her. I need someone who loves me for who I really am and of course someone I love in return." I thought.
